Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Fitter Technician to join our maintenance team in the chemical plant. The Fitter Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment critical to our chemical manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Assembly:

    • Assemble, install, and align various mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and other process machinery, adhering to blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications.

    • Perform precision measurements and ensure proper fitting and alignment of components and parts.

    • Fabricate, join, and modify structural components and piping systems as required, using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., cutting, shaping, fitting, welding).

  • Maintenance and Repair:

    • Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

    • Diagnose mechanical faults and troubleshoot issues in complex chemical processing equipment and systems.

    • Perform corrective maintenance, including replacing worn or damaged parts, adjusting controls, and cleaning machinery.

    • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and execute repairs efficiently to restore operations.

    • Perform basic hydraulic and pneumatic component replacement (valves, seals, cylinders).

  • Technical Interpretation & Documentation:

    • Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals.

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs performed, and parts replaced.

    • Assist in updating and reviewing maintenance procedures and plans.

  • Safety and Compliance:
