Job summary

Safran Hyderabad seeks a Technician M/F to support engine assembly, disassembly, and inspection in a production environment. You will ensure tools are calibrated, follow safety and quality procedures, and report any defects or ambiguities promptly.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma, AME or Degree in Engineering as required.
• Basic Part 66 AME license is an advantage.
• Fluent English is preferred for communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/disassemble/inspect engines/modules following documents and safety regulations.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and calibrated.
• Follow quality manual procedures and work instructions.
• Report significant defects, discrepancies, incidents and ambiguities per company procedures.
• Ensure licenses/authorizations are renewed timely per procedures.
• Ensure MSDS compliance and proper PPE usage per HSE standards.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free work area and proper housekeeping.
• Handle consumables and chemicals per MSDS precautions.
• Observe safety precautions during engine ground handling and equipment maneuvering.
• Maintain documentation standards for data recording and certification.
• Provide accurate shift handovers to reporting Inspector or Engineer.

Job description

Reports to Gate Manager / Team lead. Assembly /Disassembly/inspection of engines /Modules, in accordance with the applicable documents, respecting the safety and quality regulations.

• Ensure the good conditions and calibrations of all tools and equipment in the work area.
• Follow all the instructions and procedures in accordance with the quality manual.
• Reporting significant defects, discrepancies, incidents ,accidents and ambiguities as per established company procedure
• Ensure licenses, Authorization privileges are renewed on timely manner as per company and regulatory procedures.
• Ensure personal protective equipment, material safety data sheet (MSDS ) compliance as per HSE standards and rule.
• Maintaining good housekeeping practices to ensure work area is hazard free, safe and pleasant.
• Ensure to handle all consumables and chemicals in compliance with MSDS precautions.
• Ensure all safety precautions observed while performing engine ground handling and equipment maneuvering.
• Maintaining acceptable documentation standards in recording data for certification.
• Ensure to provide accurate shift handovers to reporting Inspector or Engineer.

Candidate skills & requirements

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Technical Diploma, AME or Degree in Engineering
• Engine maintenance experience preferably in an engine shop or power plant build up facility.
• Basic Knowledge module removal /Installation/repair/overhaul will be an advantage.
• Basic Knowledge of defect evaluation and disposition.
• Basic Part 66 AME license will be added advantage.
• Basic knowledge on 5S and engine shop best practices.
• Basic knowledge on Lean –Kaizen methodologies.
