Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Bengaluru, India, seeks an L2 TAC specialist to support HPE/Juniper Campus and Data-Center products (EX, QFX & QFabric) and related technologies. The role is designed as a hybrid position with two days in an HPE office.

You will own customer issues end-to-end, communicate with stakeholders, and contribute to automation and knowledge creation. Strong networking and scripting skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and customer handling skills.
• Ability to logically troubleshoot complex and high impact problems.
• Self-learner with appetite for continuous development.
• In-depth knowledge of Switching Technology [xSTP, VRRP, LACP, Dot1x, COS, QOS].
• IP and related protocols (ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP).
• IP routing protocol (BGP, OSPF, RIP).
• Understanding of Multicast related protocol IGMP would be a plus.
• Scripting skills like Python, Perl, or Shell (bash, ksh, csh) would be considered as added advantage.

What You Need To Bring

Preferred Work Experience:

• Technical Support experience supporting critical network infrastructures of Enterprise/Telecom or Cloud customers
• Troubleshooting complex networking in Routing/Switching domain
• Experience in working with Product Development/Engineering team to resolve customer reported issues.
• Proven track record of implementing automation technologies.
• Network Design and implementation experience in Datacenters would be a plus.

Platform Knowledge

Juniper (routers, switches), Cisco, Nortel, Huawei, traffic generators (Ixia, Agilent)/ traffic simulators, protocol analyzers, testers etc (not all are required but some of these are good to have).

Preferred Certifications:

- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA, JNCIS-M, JNCIP-M, JNCIE-M, CCIE-SP
