Job summary

Birlasoft in Hyderabad, India invites an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to join our production support team. You will monitor application availability, performance and capacity, and lead incident response to minimize downtime.

You’ll work hands-on with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and Jenkins, plus Shell/Python scripting. You’ll drive root-cause analyses and MTTR/MTTA/MTTD improvements while supporting 24x7 ITIL-based operations and deployment automation.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in DevOps/SRE and production support.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker and automation tooling.
• Strong knowledge of web servers and middleware.
• Experience with incident, problem and change management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain application availability, performance and capacity.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management via ServiceNow.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive MTTR/MTTA/MTTD improvements.
• Monitor with Splunk, New Relic and proactive monitoring tools.
• Automate with Shell/Python scripting; manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment.
• Assist cloud migration, infra upgrades, patching, and security compliance.
• Understand load balancers, networking, and traffic management.
• Adhere to ITIL processes and 24x7 production support.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Production Support.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, and middleware technologies.
• Monitor and manage application availability, performance, and capacity.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive improvements in MTTR, MTTA, and MTTD.
• Experience with Splunk, New Relic, and proactive monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Shell/Python scripting for automation and operational efficiency.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, source code repositories, and deployment automation.
• Support cloud migration, infrastructure upgrades, patching, and security compliance.
• Understanding of load balancers (F5/AVI), networking, routing, and traffic management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and 24x7 production support environments.
