Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong engineering and technology delivery background to lead large, complex epics and engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing engineering teams, driving end-to-end delivery, and coordinating across multiple technical and business stakeholders.

This role requires exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, strong technical understanding, and the ability to bring structure, ownership, and predictability to complex delivery environments.

Experience delivering AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, or other AI-enabled technology initiatives will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large and complex technical epics, from planning and estimation through execution, release, and closure.
  • Manage delivery across engineering teams, ensuring commitments around scope, timelines, quality, and dependencies are effectively managed.
  • Partner closely with Engineering Leads, Architects, Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, and other delivery teams.
  • Break down complex initiatives into manageable workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and delivery plans.
  • Drive engineering delivery by tracking progress, identifying bottlenecks, managing risks, and proactively resolving impediments.
  • Manage cross-team and cross-functional dependencies, particularly for initiatives involving multiple engineering teams or systems.
  • Facilitate technical and delivery discussions and ensure clear decisions, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Establish strong delivery governance, including status reporting, RAID management, milestone tracking, and executive-level communication.
  • Provide clear and concise updates to senior stakeholders, translating complex technical topics into meaningful business and delivery insights.
  • Ensure engineering teams maintain a strong focus on delivery quality, predictability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support Agile ceremonies and delivery practices while adapting the approach based on the complexity and needs of the programme.
  • Create a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and timely escalation across delivery teams.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 8-12 years of overall experience, with significant experience in technical project/program management and engineering delivery.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex epics or technology programmes involving multiple teams and dependencies.
  • Strong experience managing Engineering / Software Development teams and their end-to-end delivery.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), modern engineering practices, release management, and technology delivery.
  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies, backlog management, sprint/release planning, and delivery tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, competing priorities, and changing requirements.
  • Brilliant written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently with engineers, architects, product teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and highly collaborative client environment.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive teams toward outcomes rather than simply tracking activities.
