Job summary

Equifax Canada is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to own performance of a software team and drive technical strategy across .NET technologies. You will mentor engineers, manage budgets, and collaborate with architects, SREs, and product managers to deliver scalable, secure applications.

You will lead architecture of microservices on GCP, implement modern development practices, and ensure high-quality code through reviews and best practices. Hybrid work model offered.

• Bachelor's degree in a software engineering field and 10–14 years of experience.

• Drive the adoption of modern software development practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Leverage GCP services to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools to manage and automate infrastructure provisioning.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on network, or service operations and quality.
• Actively participate in project planning, estimation, user story grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and efficiency.
• Document code and processes to enable knowledge transfer and team efficiency.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and architectural vision.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency and application performance.

What experience you need

• A Bachelor's degree with 10-14 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years managing offshore teams.
• A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks, with proven experience implementing Scrum practices.
• Strong understanding of software development, cloud technologies, and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
• A proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, including performance management, coaching, and hiring.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred), including designing and deploying cloud-native applications.
• 3+ years of experience with source code management (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
