Job summary

Equifax is seeking a tech leader to oversee the software delivery teams, guide engineers in career growth, and drive high-quality, scalable systems. The role focuses on evaluating performance, improving processes, and aligning product and engineering efforts across the organization.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure the team delivers reliable, maintainable software in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Core Java and Spring framework development.
• Experience building Microservices and RESTful services.
• Hands-on with cloud databases like Cloud SQL, Spanner, and Postgres.
• Strong front-end basics: JSF, HTML, JavaScript, JSP.
• Experience with testing and CI tools: JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technology team, interview and select people, motivate and inspire the team and drive retention and engagement.
• Provide engineers feedback and create development plans for succession.
• Ensure delivery quality, define quality strategies, and oversee release processes and stability.
• Track metrics (availability, cloud cost, throughput, lead time) and optimize resource use.
• Foster integration between product teams and other areas to optimize workflow.

What you will do

• Oversee the technology team, interview and select people, motivate and inspire the team and drive retention and employee engagement.




• Provide software engineers constant feedback and prepare individual development plans to have team members prepared for succession or to occupy new seniority positions.




• Ensure the quality of deliveries, prioritize initiatives oriented to metrics (eg reliability, code smells, technical debts, bugs), define quality strategy and quality techniques/frameworks (eg BDD, TDD, FDD , test automation), oversee the processes and controls of delivery flow at different discovery, development, testing, approval and implementation phases and ensure stability, performance and maintenance of organizational systems.




• Ensure the efficiency of the teams through the use of metrics (availability, cloud cost, throughput, lead time, blockages), ensuring the balance of indicators according to the defined goals and raising the need for additional resources as needed.




• Facilitate integration between product teams and other areas of the company focused on the client by defining responsibilities and agreements, and systematically optimizing workflow and communication.
