Job summary

Equifax, Inc. in Pune, India seeks an experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement cloud-native solutions in GCP/AWS. You will establish solution intent, define component responsibilities, and create architecture artifacts including usage and cost models.

The role emphasizes alignment with strategy, non-functional requirements, and efficient operation. You will collaborate with Engineering/SRE teams, apply microservices and event-driven patterns, and utilize containerization with CI/CD

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 10+ years experience, with 5+ years architecting software in the public cloud.
• Experience monitoring infrastructure and uptime to meet objectives.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript and/or Node.js.
• Cross-functional knowledge across systems, storage, networking, security and databases.
• Partner with Engineering/SREs to analyze outages and provide remediation steps.
• Experience with microservice patterns, event-driven architecture and CQRS.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and practices.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
• Cloud Certifications strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of agentic design and overall system architecture aligned with business goals.
• Hands-on with RAG, vector databases, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and multi-agent frameworks.

Job description

What you'll do

• Architect, design and implement smart solutions in GCP/AWS using Cloud Native capabilities.
• Establish the high-level Solution Intent for given project or problem statement
• Establish responsibilities of major logical components of the solution in collaboration with other team members
• Develop architecture deliverables necessary to illustrate system behavior, including usage models, and cost of ownership models and failure analysis model
• Ensure that the solution is aligned with the technology strategy, uses standard solution building blocks and can be built and operated in an efficient manner aligned with economic value of the project
• Develop, analyze, split, and prioritize work required to implement the system's non-functional requirements
• Provide technical oversight of implementation, keeping the final build and overall implementation aligned with the solution intent

What experience you need

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required
• 10+ years experience, with 5+ years of experience architecting and developing software in the public cloud.
• Experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.
• Experience in one or more languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript and/or node.js
• Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases
• Partner with Engineering, and SREs to analyze any outages or resiliency issues and provide remediation steps
• Experience with microservice best practices and design patterns
• Experience with event driven architecture and immutable data management patterns (CQRS)
• Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
• Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred
• Knowledge of agentic design standards, designs the overall system architecture that align with business goals, and makes the technology decisions that everyone else builds within.
• Hands-on experience with RAG, vector databases, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and multi-agent frameworks etc

Develop a technology solution that will help achieve the BU goals. Provide ongoing support to ensure that it continues to meet the goals. Monitor the solution for any potential problems and take corrective action as needed.
