Job summary

Emergys is seeking a delivery-focused leader to drive end-to-end projects spanning cloud, platform infrastructure, and enterprise deployments. You will coordinate across engineering, QA, operations, and customer teams, ensuring milestone plans, governance, and risk management are in place.

The role emphasizes a hands-off approach in some areas while maintaining visibility, realistic planning, and proactive escalation when needed to keep programs on track.

Qualifications

  • Strong command of Agile delivery practice, including requirement gathering, sprint planning, estimation, sequencing, and dependency management.
  • Delivery of technical infrastructure or platform projects, not just application feature delivery.
  • Working understanding of Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and enterprise deployment processes at a functional level.
  • Familiarity with SRE and operations practice: release and upgrade management, incident, problem and change management, and production readiness.
  • Ability to understand responsibilities and blockers across engineering disciplines and plan accordingly.
  • Strong dashboard, reporting, and stakeholder-management capability.
  • Experience managing delivery across vendors, partners, or customer teams.
  • Excellent customer and stakeholder communication, including under escalation, with proactive planning and option-focused thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Drive projects end to end in an Agile manner: requirement gathering, backlog shaping, sprint planning, estimation, sequencing, dependency management, execution and delivery.
  • Own milestone plans and gate criteria, and track progress against them with evidence.
  • Manage workload, capacity, dependencies, blockers, and parallel workstreams across multiple teams.
  • Run daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, status tracking, and delivery governance.
  • Coordinate enterprise AI deployments across engineering, QA, infrastructure, platform, operations and support teams.
  • Understand and manage the flow from engineering preparation and QA through infrastructure handover, operational validation, deployment, release, and upgrade management.
  • Manage interfaces with hardware vendor and customer, including boundary where operational responsibility changes hands.
  • Understand platform and product capability to plan credibly and challenge scope.
  • Track technical debt with owners and target dates.
  • Maintain RAID logs, dependency maps and decision records.

Job description

This role drives delivery across a team spanning cloud and platform infrastructure, model serving, gateway software, design and field engineering, against milestone commitments that involve both a hardware vendor and enterprise customers. You need enough technical depth to understand what a cluster upgrade, a Helm release, a gateway metering change or a model bundle rollout involves, so that plans are realistic, and blockers are recognized early. You are not expected to be hands-on in every area, but you are expected to know when an estimate is fiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive projects end to end in an Agile manner: requirement gathering, backlog shaping, sprint planning, estimation, sequencing, dependency management, execution and delivery.
  • Own milestone plans and gate criteria, and track progress against them with evidence rather than status assertions.
  • Manage workload, capacity, dependencies, blockers, and parallel workstreams across infrastructure, platform, software, design and field teams.
  • Run daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, status tracking, and delivery governance.
  • Coordinate enterprise AI deployments across engineering, QA, infrastructure, platform, operations and support teams.
  • Understand and manage the flow from engineering preparation and QA through infrastructure handover, operational validation, deployment, release, and upgrade management.
  • Manage the interfaces with the hardware vendor and the customer, including the boundary where operational responsibility changes hands.
  • Understand the platform and product capability well enough to plan solution work credibly and to challenge scope that does not fit.
  • Track technical debt as a managed item with owners and target dates rather than background noise.
  • Maintain RAID logs, dependency maps and decision records, and keep them current enough to be useful in a review.
  • Track progress, quality, defects, risks and dependencies through dashboards and reports stakeholders can read without translation.
  • Prepare and present weekly status reports and milestone updates to senior internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Own release and upgrade planning and change governance for production platform changes, and support incident and problem management follow-through.
  • Work closely with customer product managers and technical leads to understanding priorities and translating them into engineering work, managing expectations on scope and timelines, and surfacing bad news early with options attached.
  • Support onboarding of new team members, set clear expectations on roles and interfaces between roles, and maintain delivery performance inputs for reviews.
  • Use agentic AI tooling to automate status collation, backlog hygiene, report generation and meeting follow-up.

  • Strong command of Agile delivery practice, including requirement gathering, sprint planning, estimation, sequencing, and dependency management.
  • Demonstrated delivery of technical infrastructure or platform projects, not application feature delivery alone.
  • Working understanding of Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and enterprise deployment processes at a functional level.
  • Familiarity with SRE and operations practice: release and upgrade management, incident, problem and change management, and production readiness.
  • Ability to understand the responsibilities and technical blockers of different engineering disciplines and to plan around them.
  • Strong dashboard, reporting, and stakeholder-management capability.
  • Experience managing delivery across organizational boundaries such as vendors, partners, or customer teams.
  • Excellent customer and stakeholder communication, including under escalation, strong coordination without formal authority, and the willingness to challenge a plan that does not hold up.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in a managed-services or partner-delivery model with contractual milestones.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or SAFe.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes or cloud administration at a hands-on level earlier in your career.
