Job summary

Qentelli LLC in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager QA/QE to support the Senior Technical Project Manager in delivering a large cross-functional team of QA, QE/Automation, Production Support and Development. The role requires strong technical QA/QE expertise, automation knowledge, and 5+ years of management, with BFSI domain exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in team/project/technical management.
• Experience managing QA/QE/Automation teams.
• Good hands-on understanding of test automation and regression frameworks.
• Experience with tools such as Selenium, API testing, SQL/DB, Postman, CI/CD, Git, Jira, Xray, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience in BFSI/Banking/Financial Services domain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Technical Project Manager in managing a 30+ member cross-functional team across QA, QE/Automation, Production Support, and Development.
• Take ownership of day-to-day team delivery and progress tracking across multiple workstreams.
• Monitor sprint commitments, deliverables, dependencies, blockers, and risks; proactively highlight concerns.
• Coordinate daily team checkpoints and ensure action items are tracked to closure.
• Collaborate with team leads and contributors to align priorities and commitments.
• Identify resource constraints and escalate to the Senior Technical Project Manager.
• Strengthen and improve automation regression suites, coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.
• Monitor automation coverage, flaky tests, script maintenance, execution failures, and regression gaps.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives around test automation, regression efficiency, quality, and release readiness.
• Partner with technical leads to leverage AI and automation for QA/QE productivity.
• Own and consolidate daily project/team updates and provide concise status updates.
• Maintain dashboards and reports on execution progress, automation coverage, and release readiness.
• Ensure timely communication of critical issues, risks, and delivery impediments.
• Work with Production Support to monitor recurring issues and preventive testing opportunities.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Associate Project Manager QA/QE to support the Senior Technical Project Manager in managing and delivering a large, cross-functional technology team comprising QA, QE/Automation resources (Production Support, and Development resources also is an added advantage).

The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of technical QA/QE expertise, automation knowledge, project/team management experience, and banking domain understanding. This role will take ownership of day-to-day delivery tracking, team progress, QA/QE metrics, automation regression health, and operational coordination, allowing the Senior Technical Project Manager to focus on overall program management, client engagement, strategic planning, and delivery governance.

The candidate is expected to become a strong technical and delivery point of contact for the QA/QE organization and develop a good understanding of the application's end-to-end business and technical flows.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and escalation-management skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing/automation is a strong plus.
• BFSI/Banking/Financial Services domain experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with QE engineers to strengthen and improve automation regression suites, coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.
• Monitor automation coverage, flaky tests, script maintenance, execution failures, and regression gaps.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives around test automation, regression efficiency, quality, and release readiness.
• Partner with technical leads to identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation for improving QA/QE productivity.
• Own and consolidate daily project/team updates and provide concise status updates to the Senior Technical Project Manager.
• Maintain dashboards and reports covering: Execution progress, Automation coverage, Defect trends, Automation stability, Release readiness, Team utilization.
• Ensure timely communication of critical issues, risks, and delivery impediments.
• Work with Production Support teams to monitor recurring production issues and identify opportunities for preventive testing and automation.
• Ensure production issues are appropriately fed back into QA regression and automation coverage.

Support onboarding, knowledge transfer, resource planning, and team development activities.
