Job summary

Inovalon is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager (Business Performance) to drive enterprise analytics initiatives and AI-powered applications. You will bridge business strategy with technical delivery, coordinating data engineering, analytics platforms, and governance across teams in different time zones.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years leading complex programs, healthcare PMO experience, strong SQL and Power BI skills, and PMP or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing complex projects/programs with 2–3 years in data engineering, analytics platforms, or AI/ML product delivery.
• Experience in a healthcare PMO is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of data pipeline architecture, ML lifecycles, MCPs, plugins, APIs, and AI agent integration into SaaS platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with project management tools and a modern PM stack.
• Hands-on SQL and Power BI to track, validate, and report platform metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication across time zones.
• Ability to initiate and drive multiple projects to completion.

Overview:

The Senior Technical Project Manager (Business Performance) will drive the technology initiatives that translate advanced data into business-critical impact. This role sits at the intersection of Business Analytics and our Internal AI Innovation Hub, driving the deployment of enterprise intelligence capabilities and AI-driven applications. You will act as the crucial operational bridge between strategic business objectives and the technical teams delivering these cutting-edge analytics and AI solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analytics Platform Delivery: Orchestrate end-to-end technical projects to deploy, scale, and refine the analytics for delivering automated, decision-ready enterprise performance views.
• AI Innovation Lifecycle: Manage the project lifecycle for the Internal AI Innovation Hub, guiding new automated agents and applications from rapid prototyping and pilot testing to full enterprise production.
• Requirements Translation: Partner closely with US-based business leaders and local teams as needed to translate complex analytical goals into clear, executable project plans, scope definitions, and technical requirements.
• Project Governance: Drive project execution, establish key milestones, monitor timelines, manage resources, and actively resolve risks or blockers for data engineering and development teams.
• Compliance & Security: Adhere strictly to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s operating procedures to safeguard all data handled by our analytics platforms.
• Stakeholder Management: Work with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical staff and others to ensure the operational success of projects and programs under management.
• Scope & Risk Planning: Manage projects by defining scope, schedules, deliverables, and risk mitigation plans.
• Status & Progress Tracking: Organize and lead project status updates, prepare and distribute progress reports, and correct deviations from project baselines.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ Years experience managing complex projects/programs, with at least 2-3 years focused on data engineering, analytics platforms, or AI/ML product delivery experience
• Experience in a PMO at a healthcare highly preferred
• AI & Analytics Acumen: Solid understanding of data pipeline architecture, machine learning lifecyles, Model Context Protocol (MCPs), plugins, APIs, and how AI agents/applications are developed and integrated into enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Modern PM Stack: Advanced proficiency with project management tools.
• Data & Visualization Literacy: Hands-on familiarity with SQL and modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to independently track, validate, and report on platform metrics.
• Cross-Border Collaboration: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to manage dependencies across different time zones.
• Project Methodologies: Deep familiarity with structured project management methodologiesExcellent attention to detail.
• Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements in accordance with Inovalon Operating Policies and Procedures.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities reasonably assigned to support the operational and financial success of Inovalon.
• Proven ability to initiate and drive multiple projects simultaneously through to completion.
• Strong project management skills including project initiation, project plan creation, resource allocation, time/schedule management, risk management, budget tracking, prioritization, and status reporting.
• Ability to influence team members and business partners toward common goals.
• Ability to build trust and cultivate relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Problem definition and resolution skills.
• Education: BS/BA degree from accredited college/university required; and
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification strongly preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time).
• Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.
• Subject to inside environmental conditions.
• Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
