Job summary

Covestic Inc is seeking a senior delivery leader to drive end-to-end delivery across three teams. You will own sprint health, capacity planning, staffing, and enforce engineering quality standards while guiding architecture decisions and resolving cross-team dependencies.

You will mentor Technical Leads and senior engineers, remain hands-on, and act as the escalation point for delivery risks in a client-facing engagement, ensuring release readiness and successful delivery of commitments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years engineering or delivery management experience across multi-team software programs.
• Strong grasp of sprint delivery health metrics, capacity planning and staffing management.
• Experience setting and enforcing engineering quality standards across concurrent teams.
• Hands-on in modern application development, system design, architecture oversight, code reviews, and production issue resolution.
• Comfortable owning release-readiness and launch-position verification processes.
• Proven ability to mentor Technical Leads and senior engineers while remaining hands-on.
• Experience escalating and resolving delivery risk in a client-facing engagement.

The role requires strong engineering depth, active involvement in technical decision-making, sprint delivery health, capacity and staffing management, engineering quality standards, and cross-team dependency resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Own sprint delivery health, capacity planning and staffing management across all three teams
• Set and enforce engineering quality standards across the delivery organization
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership across architecture decisions, design reviews, code‑quality practices, and complex engineering issue resolution
• Resolve cross-team dependencies alongside the Agile Coach (RTE)
• Coordinate release readiness and launch‑position verification against the SOW's committed deliverables
• Act as the primary delivery‑management escalation point before issues are elevated to the Client Service Organization

Required skills & experience

• 12+ years engineering or delivery management experience across multi‑team software programs
• Strong grasp of sprint delivery health metrics, capacity planning and staffing management
• Experience setting and enforcing engineering quality standards across concurrent teams
• Must be technically stronger than a Technical Lead, with hands‑on experience in modern application development, system design, architecture oversight, code reviews, and production issue resolution
• Comfortable owning release‑readiness and launch‑position verification processes
• Proven ability to mentor Technical Leads and senior engineers while remaining hands‑on enough to challenge solution choices and guide implementation quality
• Experience escalating and resolving delivery risk in a client‑facing engagement

Preferred qualifications

• Experience managing staffing/backfill across a 25+ person delivery organization
• Familiarity with AI/RAG delivery quality standards specifically

Education

B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or a related field, MBA preferred, or equivalent practical experience; PMP or PgMP certification an advantage.
