Digit88, Bengaluru-based AI-native product engineering partner, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery of medium to complex SaaS/Data/GenAI programs. You will translate customer needs into actionable plans, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure production-ready outcomes.

You bring 8+ years of software delivery leadership, strong Agile experience, and a track record of governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment across global customers.

The Opportunity:

As a Technical Project Manager (TPM), you will own end-to-end delivery of medium to complex SaaS / Data / GenAI programs, ensuring alignment between business goals, architecture and execution. This is not a coordination role - you are expected to bring technical depth, strong execution rigor and ownership to drive high-quality, scalable, production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own successful end-to-end delivery from customer discovery through production go-live and hypercare, balancing scope, quality, schedule, commercial objectives, and customer satisfaction.
• Own discovery workshops with customers and drive requirement clarification. Translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear user stories, execution plans, and aligned technical direction.
• Manage change requests throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring scope control and stakeholder alignment.
• Establish strong delivery governance, including sprint planning, tracking, release management, Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), quality gates, and continuous improvement.
• Validate estimates, capacity plans, and project schedules to ensure realistic execution plans and optimal resource utilization.
• Constantly evaluate scope vs. utilization and drive data-driven decisions to maximize delivery efficiency.
• Identify and proactively mitigate delivery, technical, resourcing, and commercial risks.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, remove blockers, and ensure smooth execution across engineering teams.
• Act as the primary customer interface, managing expectations, communication, escalations, and aligning delivery with business outcomes.
• Provide regular project and program status updates, delivery insights, and risk visibility to customers and leadership.
• Participate in architecture discussions, validate high-level design decisions, and facilitate technical trade-offs with engineering teams.
• Drive execution across backend, frontend, mobile, and data engineering teams while ensuring scalable, reliable, and production-ready solutions.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of modern engineering practices, including microservices, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, DevOps, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and AI-assisted software development.
• Promote engineering excellence by encouraging observability (logging, monitoring, tracing), shift-left practices (testing, security, automation), and AI-assisted development.
• Monitor engineering and delivery metrics, including sprint predictability, release quality, production stability, defect trends, and customer satisfaction, to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for delivery optimization, automation, account growth, and support solutioning and pre-sales activities.
• Demonstrate strong resource planning capabilities and effectively build and manage project teams from initiation to successful delivery.

Requirements:

• BE/MS in Computer Science or a related field with 8 - 12 years of experience, including 4+ years leading cross-functional software product delivery across multiple medium-sized product development projects.
• Proven experience delivering software products from concept through production in a service delivery environment within a mid-sized organization.
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, estimation techniques, release planning, and end-to-end project execution.
• Proven experience managing release readiness, production rollouts, rollback planning, hypercare, production issue management, and customer acceptance.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, cross-team dependencies, and stakeholders effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, and attention to detail while maintaining a clear big-picture perspective.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with engineering teams, business stakeholders, customers, and leadership.
• High ownership, reliability, and execution focus with the ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• High-level understanding of backend systems, REST APIs, and microservices architecture (Node.js exposure preferred).
• Working understanding of system design principles, including scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to participate in architecture discussions, review high-level technical proposals, evaluate trade-offs, and constructively challenge engineering decisions without being a hands-on architect or developer.
• Experience working on enterprise integrations involving REST APIs, Identity Providers (IdP), Payment Gateways, CRM, ERP, POS, and other third-party platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and the software deployment lifecycle.
• Experience working with global customers (US/EU) in a customer-facing delivery role.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to improve delivery productivity and engineering efficiency.

Good to have skills:

• High-level understanding of enterprise backend technologies (Java, Python, Go, etc.) to effectively communicate with engineering teams and understand technical discussions.
• High-level understanding of system architecture, including microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed applications
• Understanding of application performance fundamentals (caching, scalability, bottlenecks) and basic security concepts such as authentication, authorization, and secure APIs.
• Ability to manage delivery across backend, frontend, mobile, and data engineering teams by understanding dependencies and technical risks.
• Basic understanding of GenAI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, copilots, and AI-assisted software development is desirable.
• Domain experience in eCommerce, QSR, Conversational AI/Analytics, Energy & Utilities, or similar industries is an advantage.
