Job summary

Optum India is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery governance across data/analytics programs. You will coordinate with product owners, BAs, and engineering teams to ensure milestones, risks, and dependencies are tracked and reported.

The role requires 7+ years in IT delivery, 3+ years as PM, and experience managing distributed teams. You will leverage Agile practices and PM methodologies to drive improvements and deliver value.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• 7+ years in IT delivery / Data Engineering / Analytics.
• 3+ years as Technical Project Manager.
• Experience managing distributed onshore/offshore teams and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of PM practices and Agile.
• Proven ability to plan, track, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Capable of handling multiple parallel workstreams.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery governance for assigned workstreams (timeline, scope, risks)
• Track and report: Milestones, Deliverables, and Dependencies
• Provide clear status communication to leadership and stakeholders
• Proactively identify and resolve Delivery blockers, Cross-team dependencies
• Escalate risks early when timelines or quality are at risk
• Track and drive improvements using metrics (velocity, throughput, defects)
• Collaborate closely with Product Owner, BA and Engineering team
• Drive structured reporting (weekly, bi-weekly leadership forums)
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks. Evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation.

Required Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Project Management practices and Agile
• Proven solid in Planning & tracking, Risk management and Stakeholder communication
• Proven ability to handle multiple parallel workstreams
