Job summary

Google in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within the Geo team, building mapping products used by billions. You will plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with engineers and executives.

You’ll partner with security-focused teams, drive incident management processes, perform root-cause analyses of abuse attacks, and help develop mitigations and governance across product areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program management.
• Analytical mindset with SQL skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in abuse fighting or security domains and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Drive forensic root cause analysis of abuse attacks and design processes to optimize the impact of incident investigations.
• Produce reports and communications to enable partner teams to develop mitigation plans.
• Drive risk mitigation programs for significant events (elections, social unrest etc).
• Partner with engineering teams to develop subject matter expertise about system vulnerabilities.
• Act as an Incident Manager to contain abuse attacks/unplanned events.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications

• 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in analysis, SQL, incident management and vendor management.
• Experience in an abuse fighting or security domain and incident or crisis management protocol and ability to operate under pressure during a crisis.
• Experience in computer security industry such as detection research, malware analysis, threat intelligence, cyber incident response, or Penetration Testing/Red Team and Open Source Intelligence Gathering OSINT) based investigations.
• Experience with Geo data management.
