Job description

Technical Program Manager – AI

Hybrid role in Pune or Hyderabad. Cornerstone is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support the delivery of our AI product initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of engineering execution and product coordination, ensuring that cross‑functional programs are well‑organized, clearly communicated, and delivered with quality and on schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Manage program delivery for product initiatives, coordinating planning, tracking milestones, and keeping teams aligned from kickoff through launch.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional coordination across Engineering, Product, Design, and QA, ensuring dependencies are visible and risks are flagged early.
  • Maintain program‑level roadmaps, delivery timelines, and status updates, keeping stakeholders informed and work moving forward.
  • Partner with engineering and product leads to understand technical requirements and surface anything that could impact delivery timelines.
  • Track program health using standard metrics—sprint velocity, milestone attainment, open risks—and communicate status clearly to the team and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives, helping teams operate efficiently and continuously improve.
  • Support coordination of experimentation programs (A/B tests, phased rollouts) in partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Help define and execute release readiness checklists, including QA sign‑off, compliance checkpoints, and go‑live criteria.
  • Track third‑party and vendor dependencies that intersect with program timelines and flag issues proactively.
  • Contribute to post‑launch retrospectives and help teams apply learnings to future delivery cycles.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Technical Program Management or project leadership experience in a SaaS or software engineering environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional programs across engineering, product, and design teams in an agile environment.
  • Enough technical fluency to follow engineering conversations, ask good questions, and communicate technical trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and program management fundamentals including planning, risk tracking, and dependency management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to translate complex information into clear, concise updates for a range of audiences.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across time zones.
  • Data‑driven mindset with the ability to track and report on program metrics in a meaningful way.
  • Strong organizational skills and a bias toward action—follow through, close loops, and keep things moving.
Extra Dose of Awesome
  • Experience delivering programs that involve generative AI, LLM integration, or intelligent automation within enterprise SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with MLOps tooling, model evaluation frameworks, or AI observability practices.
  • Background in HR technology, learning development platforms, or talent management systems.
  • Prior knowledge of the Cornerstone platform and ecosystem.
  • PMP, PMI‑ACP, SAFe, or equivalent program management certification.
