SECTION III: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To monitor and handle maintenance of Telemetry on SPMs, Electrical, Nav./communications equipment on Crafts and oversees all regulatory requirements related to these Equipment.
SECTION IV: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Assists CPE in Operational readiness of Single Point mooring facilities and Reliance owned crafts.
- Oversees the Maintenance of Telemetry on SPMs, Electrical, Nav./communications equipment on Crafts and oversees all regulatory requirements related to these Equipments.
- Coordinates with Contractual workforce for carrying out all planned /unplanned maintenance activities.
- Releases and verifies the invoices and informing other techno-commercial contractual related matters to CPE.
- Preparation of annual budget for Spares & Services.
- Keeping the CPE always informed with areas of concern or opportunities of improvement.
- Ensuring smooth and timely procurement and availability of spares and stores for the safe operation and maintenance of the support crafts, SPMs and other floating units.
- Ensuring that all floating units, crafts and SPMs are subjected to periodical surveys, inspections and remain in fully certified state at all times.
- Ensuring that all electronic, Navigational, communication and I.T related equipment, on-board various owned crafts and SPMs, are maintained in good condition by liaison with either AMC contractors or with OEMs or with service providing contractors.
- Preparation of dry-docking scope in consultation with Technical Management of the tug/SPM for review by CPE.
- To Ensure that all work on board crafts is carried out as per laid down procedures in strict compliance to HSE&F, Merchant shipping Act, Classification Rules and DG shipping regulations.
- Creating PRs for services required on crafts/SPMs related to Electrical or Radiocommunication in nature and ensure completion of these services on time and per SOW.
- Codifying the spares of various crafts, floating structures, underwater units and SPM equipment.
- Raising PRs, carrying out technical evaluations and ensuring smooth supply and availability of spares in coordination with Procurement team.
- Keeping records of all maintenance carried out and planning preventive maintenance and scheduling in consultation with the contractors in SAP.
- To Prepare and ensure adherence to budgetary allocations for each craft or SPM.

SECTION VII: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES
Education Qualifications
- Engineering Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Electrical and Electronics or any similar branch of Engineering
STCW Certification (Not required if from Naval background)
Experience
- Exp of working in offshore marine industry (5 years) or worked in Indian Navy / Indian Coastguard (Short service) in any of the Electrical / Electronics & communication discipline.
- Sound knowledge of offshore equipment (SPM and related fittings) and purpose of the equipment.
