Fortune Personnel Services is seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to lead Embedded Hardware and Firmware teams in Pune. The role emphasizes technical leadership, architecture ownership, reviews, mentoring, and delivering high-quality electronics used in servo drives, inverters, and motion control products.

You will drive end-to-end hardware and firmware architecture, define roadmaps for MCU/SoC, power management, RTOS, and toolchains, ensure EMC/EMI compliance, and uphold cybersecurity

Qualifications

• 12–18 years of experience in embedded hardware and firmware development.
• Hands-on leadership with architecture ownership and reviews.
• Experience with servo drives, inverters, and motion products.
• Prior role as Technical Lead / Architect / Hands-on Manager.
• Industrial electronics background with cybersecurity awareness (IEC 62443).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end embedded hardware + firmware architecture ownership.
• Define technology roadmaps for MCU/SoC, power management, RTOS, toolchains.
• Make decisions balancing performance, cost, reliability, and cybersecurity.
• Act as technical escalation point for complex HWFW issues.

Role: Technical Manager Embedded Electronics (Hardware & Firmware)

Education: BE/ B. Tech / ME /MTech in E&TC, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Electronics

Experience: 12 to 18 Years

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Manager to lead our Embedded Hardware and Firmware teams. The role involves technical leadership, architecture ownership, problem-solving, reviews, mentoring, and ensuring high-quality delivery of electronics used in servo drives, VFDs, and motion control products. This is an engineering-driven role, not just people management.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Architecture Leadership

• Own end-to-end embedded hardware + firmware architecture ownership
• Define technology roadmaps for MCU/SoC, power management, RTOS, toolchains
• Make decisions balancing performance, cost, reliability, and cybersecurity
• Act as technical escalation point for complex HWFW issues

Hands-on Engineering Contribution

• Participate in hardware schematic/layout reviews
• Participate in firmware design/code &its reviews
• Support prototype bring-up, debugging using oscilloscope, JTAG/SWD
• Drive root-cause analysis for field, EMC, reliability issues

Embedded Hardware Leadership

• Guide MCU/SoC-based designs, analog/digital circuits, power supplies
• Ensure EMC/EMI-compliant design, component selection, derating and reliability
• Oversee verification & environmental testing

Embedded Firmware Leadership

• Lead development of low-level drivers, RTOS/bare-metal firmware, bootloader, secure boot, firmware update mechanisms and communication stack (EtherCAT, CAN)
• Lead implementation of communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN, PROFINET, etc.)
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity practices (IEC 62443)

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work with Controls, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety & Cybersecurity teams
• Ensure alignment of requirements, interfaces, verification, certifications
• Support audits, certifications & customer support

Team & Execution Guidance

• Mentor hardware and firmware engineers
• Build strong engineering culture and review processes
• Enforce documentation, change management, and quality practices

Required Experience

• 1218 years in embedded hardware + firmware development
• Strong hands-on experience with industrial electronics (servo drives, inverters, motion products)
• Prior role as Technical Lead / Architect / Hands-on Manager

Must-Have Technical Skills

• MCU/SoC hardware design, analog/digital circuits
• Power management, EMC/EMI fundamentals, PCB designs layout review
• Embedded C, RTOS/bare metal development
• Debugging with JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes
• Industrial communication protocols – EtherCAT , CAN , Profinet , IO-Link
