Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Manager - Embedded Electronics to work with one of our esteemed clients in the industrial automation and mechatronics domain.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for providing technical direction across embedded hardware and firmware, with end-to-end ownership of architecture, design quality, technical execution, debugging, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead embedded hardware and firmware architecture for MCU/SoC-based industrial electronics, drives, servo inverters, frequency inverters, and motion/safety products.
- Drive technical decisions covering hardware/firmware architecture, HW-FW partitioning, RTOS, drivers, communication interfaces, and embedded platforms.
- Participate hands-on in design/code reviews, hardware bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and critical technical problem solving.
- Guide embedded hardware design including MCU interfaces, power supplies, protection, monitoring, component selection, EMC/EMI and reliability.
- Lead firmware development involving bare-metal/RTOS, drivers, bootloaders, communication protocols, and secure firmware updates.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Controls, System Architecture, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Cybersecurity, and Functional Safety.
- Support product verification, certification, customer escalations, and resolution of complex field issues.
- Mentor and technically coach hardware and firmware engineers while promoting strong engineering and design practices.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps covering MCUs/SoCs, embedded hardware platforms, firmware frameworks, RTOS and development tools.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of MCU/SoC, RTOS/bare-metal, embedded C/C++, drivers, bootloaders and communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, hardware bring-up and debugging.
- Experience in industrial electronics, motion control, servo drives, frequency inverters, motor control, or power electronics is highly preferred.
- Experience with protocols such as EtherCAT, CAN, PROFINET, IO-Link, or similar industrial communication technologies is an advantage.
- Exposure to functional safety, cybersecurity, secure boot, cryptography, and secure firmware updates is preferred.
- Strong technical leadership, analytical problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
The selected candidate may be expected to take on additional technical, architectural, engineering, and leadership responsibilities based on business and project requirements.
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
