Looking for a hands‑on Technical Manager to lead our Embedded Hardware and Firmware teams. The role involves technical leadership, architecture ownership, problem‑solving, reviews, mentoring, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of electronics used in servo drives, VFDs, and motion control products. This is an engineering‑driven role, not just people management.
Own end‑to‑end embedded hardware + firmware architecture ownership
Define technology roadmaps for MCU/SoC, power management, RTOS, toolchains
Make decisions balancing performance, cost, reliability, and cybersecurity
Act as technical escalation point for complex HW‑FW issues
Participate in hardware schematic/layout reviews
Participate in firmware design/code & its reviews
Support prototype bring‑up, debugging using oscilloscope, JTAG/SWD
Drive root‑cause analysis for field, EMC, reliability issues
Guide MCU/SoC‑based designs, analog/digital circuits, power supplies
Ensure EMC/EMI‑compliant design, component selection, derating and reliability
Oversee verification & environmental testing
Lead development of low‑level drivers, RTOS/bare‑metal firmware, bootloader, secure boot, firmware update mechanisms and communication stack (EtherCAT, CAN)
Lead implementation of communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN, PROFINET, etc.)
Ensure adherence to cybersecurity practices (IEC 62443)
Work with Controls, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety & Cybersecurity teams
Ensure alignment of requirements, interfaces, verification, certifications
Support audits, certifications & customer support
Mentor hardware and firmware engineers
Build strong engineering culture and review processes
Enforce documentation, change management, and quality practices
