Job summary

Parallel Wireless is seeking a senior stack software developer to own the end-to-end L2/L3 embedded protocol stack for 4G/5G products. You will design, code, test, and debug, delivering robust features for global customer deployments.

The role requires 8–10 years in the telecom/RAN arena, strong C/C++, Linux skills, and deep MAC/RLC knowledge. On-site Bengaluru workplace with opportunities to work on next-gen Open RAN solutions.

Qualifications

• Understand end-to-end 4G/5G network architecture and RAN specs.
• Familiar with 3GPP RAN and O-RAN specifications.
• Develop cellular radio products per LTE NR specs.
• Know Ethernet/TCP/IP/UDP interfaces.
• Proficient in MAC/RLC layers; strong debugging skills in Linux.
• Hands-on AI/ML in telecom/RAN context is a plus.
• Excellent log analysis and debugging skills.
• Strong in C/C++ and Linux; adept with GDB, QXDM, TM500, QCAT.
• 8–10 years of work experience.

• Familiar with 3GPP RAN and O-RAN specifications and functionality.
• Development experience on Cellular Radio products complying with 3GPP specifications for E-UTRA (LTE) and NR.
• Familiar with communication interfaces: Ethernet / TCP/IP / UDP.
• Good knowledge of RAN protocols and interfaces:
  • LTE/5G AS protocol layers — PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC.
  • Expert-level proficiency in the MAC and RLC layers is required
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application to RAN (e.g., network optimization, ML frameworks); hands-on experience applying AI/ML in a telecom/RAN context is a strong plus.
• Excellent log analysis and debugging skills.
• Must be strong in C/C++ programming and Linux OS.
• Hands-on experience debugging in a Linux environment with tools like GDB, QXDM, TM500, QCAT, etc.
• 8 - 10 years of work experience.

• You will be responsible for the full development process of L2/L3 embedded protocol stack including design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration.
• As a stack SW developer, you will develop new features/environment for Parallel Wireless future products and debug existing solutions which are used by our customers around the world.
