Job summary

IQUEST Management Consultants in Bengaluru requires a Technical Lead – Power Electronics to spearhead design, development, testing and validation of Power Electronics and BMS from concept to production.

Lead architecture definition, sensor design, and SMPS development while coordinating with EMS, PCS, and cross-functional teams to support customer discussions and certifications.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Power Electronics / BMS.
• Experience leading design, development, testing and validation from concept to production.
• Strong knowledge of rack BMS and battery energy storage applications.
• Hands-on hardware design and debugging across SMPS, converters, and gate drives.

Responsibilities

• Define rack BMS architecture, specifications, monitoring, and protection systems.
• Design cell voltage, temperature, and current sensing architectures and balancing strategies.
• Lead SMPS, non-isolated converter, MOSFET/IGBT, gate driver, PWM, and feedback circuit development.
• Work on SMART BMS/HVBMS, AFE, CMU, switching MOSFET selection, and EMI/EMC.
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, footprints, and CAM files.
• Lead prototype development, debugging, validation, and certification.
• Develop communication interfaces including CAN/CAN FD, RS485, and Modbus RTU.
• Work with EMS, PCS, inverter, and cross-functional teams and support customer technical discussions.

Job Summary:

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience in SMPS and non-isolated converter topologies.


• Hands‑on knowledge of MOSFET, IGBT, diode, gate drivers, PWM controllers, analog/digital circuits, and opto‑isolators.


• Strong experience in SMART BMS/HVBMS and BMS for ESS, Telecom, or Automotive applications.


• Knowledge of AFE, CMU, component selection, derating, and lifetime calculations.


• Experience in schematic design, PCB layout review, EMI/EMC, and debugging.


• Understanding of rack BMS, master BMS, and BESS applications.


• Good knowledge of technical documentation, project planning, and product test procedures.
