Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and build scalable .NET Core 8+ applications and microservices. You will work on high-throughput REST APIs, integrate RabbitMQ messaging, and apply TDD/BDD practices in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

You will collaborate with UI, DevOps, QA, and product teams, ensuring secure, maintainable code and efficient deployment pipelines, while leveraging modern tooling like GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade .NET Core applications
• Identify performance bottlenecks and remediate such issues
• Design low latency, highly scalable microservices and obtain validations from Architects
• Build and consume secure, scalable REST APIs
• Participate in architecture and design discussions
• Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI, DevOps, QA, Product Owners)
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
• Follow Agile processes and ensure estimates are constantly optimized and Sprint/PI goals are met
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Support application deployments and production releases
• Guide the team & derive comprehensive benefits from GitHub CoPilot(velocity vs cost vs quality)

• Proven experience in the programming/scripting languages.
• Complete understanding of front, middle and back-end programming concepts.
• Proficiency in one of the programming languages is added advantage.
• Ability to use designing and automation tools.

• Demonstrated knowledge of any frameworks.
• Proven development experience on Python or Java
• Strong knowledge and experience in automated testing using Selenium framework
