Job summary

Whitefield Careers seeks a senior security consultant to lead end-to-end Microsoft Azure Defender/Sentinel deployments for SMB clients in Bengaluru.

You will design, implement and govern security solutions across on-premises and cloud, develop security architectures, coordinate governance, and mentor teams while communicating complex risks to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years experience in Azure security solutioning and leading end-to-end implementation.
• Microsoft Azure / Security Solutions certifications are preferred.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Defender Suite and Sentinel; cloud security knowledge.
• Exposure to workplace automation, analytics, end-user experience monitoring and management.

Job description

• Lead the end-to-end technical implementation of Microsoft Security solutions for SMB customers.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact during security deployments.
• Own end-to-end security project delivery including planning, execution, and governance.
• Provide hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Defender Suite, Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR), Purview, and Entra ID.
• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for both on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Develop security architecture and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
• Conduct security assessments and gaps to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies and recommend Azure Security solutions.
• Develop and implement incident response procedures and participate in security incident response activities.
• Keep up to date with emerging security threats and trends and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate security issues and solutions to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Customer Demo on solutions implemented. Implement campaigns for phased migrations.

Skills required to contribute:

• A minimum +7 years of experience in the field of Azure Security solutioning & leading the implantation end to end.
• Microsoft Security product family relevant certifications
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Defender Suite and Microsoft Sentinel
• Exposure to workplace automation, analytics, end user experience monitoring and management.
• Self‑starter, motivated, independent and self‑sufficient. Able to perform assigned tasks and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.
• Must be well organized, a good communicator, able to effectively prioritize tasks, and manage projects from concept to production.
• Must be able to write thorough and concise functional and design specifications as well as easily readable end user documentation.
• Must be able to brainstorm with others, thrive in a collaborative team environment, multitask, and quickly adapt to change.
• Good Knowledge in Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, Information Protection and Governance, Threat Protection

Our ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• Desired degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Equivalent Experience.
• Certification in Microsoft Azure / Security Solutions, Cloud Technologies is desired.
• Microsoft Certification(s):
• Mandatory: MS-500 & AZ-500 and any one of the below
• Optional: SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400
