Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a Technical Lead-Data Engg in Hyderabad to lead data governance and engineering initiatives. The role focuses on data quality, cataloguing, and policy enforcement across enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities include collaborating on governance documents, data stewardship, and applying AI-assisted tagging to classify data for policy-driven governance. Strong experience with Spark, Python, and Google Cloud data tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have hands-on experience in data governance, data quality, and data cataloguing.
• Experience with Collibra and regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Proficiency in data modeling, metadata management and data policies.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce data governance policies and ownership.
• Tag and classify data using AI-assisted tools for governance.
• Oversee data quality standards and data cataloguing initiatives.
• Manage metadata, catalog content, and related governance artifacts.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and security in data operations.
