Qualifications

Role Summary

As a Technical Lead - Backend, you will design, build, and lead the development of scalable backend systems that power Netcore's high-volume customer engagement platform. You will be hands-on with architecture, development, debugging, and technical problem-solving while leading a small team of engineers.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex backend problems, building highly available and fault-tolerant systems, and working across engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.

What we look for

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science/IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10-14 years of experience in backend software development, with strong hands-on experience in Java and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of backend engineering principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, multithreading, concurrency, caching, fault tolerance, and API design.
• Strong experience building scalable, highly available, and performance-oriented backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar queue-based technologies.
• Experience designing application modules and services that can handle high-volume data and traffic reliably.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex production issues.
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices, version control, CI/CD, and agile development methodologies.
• Experience working with cloud environments and distributed systems.
• Ability to work closely with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Prior experience leading a small team of engineers, including technical mentoring, task ownership, code/design reviews, and delivery.
• Comfortable being hands-on while also driving technical direction and helping the team solve complex engineering challenges.

Good to Have

• Exposure to high-throughput systems, real-time data processing, or distributed systems.
• Experience with additional backend languages such as Golang.
• Experience working in a product/ B2B SaaS environment.
• Experience with AI-native products/technology.
