Job summary

First Meridian Business Services seeks a senior .NET architect to lead microservices design using .NET Core/.NET 6+. You will own the technical roadmap, guide domain-driven design, and implement patterns like Saga, CQRS, and Event Sourcing across distributed teams in multiple locations.

The role requires hands-on experience (3–4 years) and strong cloud-native, async, and containerization capabilities, with CI/CD via Azure DevOps/GitHub/Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Lead design and architecture of microservices using .NET Core/.NET 6+; hands-on required (3-4 years).
• Own the technical roadmap and high-level architectural decisions.
• Guidance on service decomposition, bounded contexts, and domain-driven design.
• Use Saga, CQRS (Inbox & Outbox), Event Sourcing patterns.
• Design with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
• Apply secure coding, manage secrets via Key Vault, and enforce API security policies.
• Code reviews, mentoring, and technical assessments.
• Containerize with Docker; manage images and registries.
• Work with Azure App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• API versioning and backward compatibility.

Job description

Required Knowledge and Skills:

1. 912 years of experience in .NET development, with at least 24 years in a lead/architectural role.
2. Strong hands-on experience with:
   • C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+
   • Micro Service Architecture-RESTful API
   • Azure Cloud Services (e.g., Azure Functions, App Services, Azure storage, Azure key vault) Azure cosmos db,service bus,Azure SQL Analytics
   • SQL + NoSQL DBs
   • Unit testing (xUnit, NUnit)
   • DevOps – Git actions – awareness is fine
3. Strong understanding of:
   • Cloud-native design
   • Distributed systems
   • Event-driven architectures
   • Asynchronous programming- async/await patterns, and multithreading
   • Performance bottlenecks & memory/CPU profiling.
4. Experience with distributed caching and coordination tools (like Redis)
5. Strong Git workflow knowledge (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
6. Experience with API Gateway patterns (Azure API Management) - Knowledge
7. Experience with Docker—multi-stage builds, image optimization, container security
8. Experience Building CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions)
9. Working Experience in leading with Distributed and Cross functional team across different geographical location With Safe/Scrum Model

Good to Have

• Build and maintain responsive, modern web applications using React.js, , or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript.

Responsibilities

2. Own the technical roadmap and contribute to high-level architectural decisions.
3. Provide guidance on service decomposition, modelling bounded contexts, and domain-driven design.
4. Use advanced microservice patterns like:
   • Saga Pattern
   • CQRS – Inbox and outbox
   • Event Sourcing
5. Design and integration with both relational and NoSQL databases
6. Define and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
7. Apply secure coding practices, manage secrets via Key Vault, and enforce API security policies.
8. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements (as applicable).
9. Conduct in-depth code reviews, technical assessments, and mentoring sessions for team members.
10. Work extensively with Docker for containerizing applications.
    • Create container images, manage registries, and troubleshoot container issues.
11. Work with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, etc.
12. Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / Jenkins
13. API versioning strategy and backward compatibility management
