Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking a Technical Lead to drive end-to-end technical design and implementation of enterprise software. You will blend hands-on Java/Spring Boot with React.js/TypeScript and guide development teams to build scalable, secure solutions aligned with architectural standards.

Lead architecture discussions, enforce coding and security standards, and mentor engineers while collaborating with PMs, architects, and QA to deliver reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in Technical Lead or equivalent roles.

Job Description

The Technical Lead is responsible for driving the end-to-end technical design and implementation of enterprise software solutions. This role combines deep hands-on expertise in Java/Spring Boot , React.js/TypeScript , and modern architectures with strong leadership over development teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and architectural standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of enterprise software solutions.
• Define application, integration, data, security, and deployment architecture.
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical designs.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Define coding, design, API, security, testing, and development standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Lead development of reusable components, frameworks, and shared services.
• Design and review REST APIs, integrations, and event-driven solutions.
• Design scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable applications.
• Work closely with the Technical PM, architects, business analysts, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, performance issues, and architectural challenges.
• Support CI/CD, deployment, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, ADRs, and technical specifications.
• Ensure implementation follows approved specifications and architecture.
• Participate in Spec-Driven Development (SDD) activities using GitHub Spec Kit.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend appropriate technical solutions.

• Experience leading a team of developers and conducting technical/code reviews.
• Experience with API and integration architecture.
• Experience with cloud-native/containerized applications.
• Experience handling performance, scalability, security, and production issues.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with enterprise modernization or platform development is preferred.
