Job summary

eGov Global in Bengaluru is seeking a Tech Lead to drive end-to-end SRE, platform stability, and partner enablement for the DIGIT health platform. You will blend traditional IT support with SRE practices to ensure high availability, automated observability, and scalable infrastructure.

You will lead incident response, design enablement programs, and act as the central interface between external partners and core engineering, delivering training, playbooks, and actionable reports.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience with enterprise SaaS or digital public infrastructure platforms.
• 2+ years in technical customer/partner delivery.
• 3+ years in application support, devops, or SRE with hands-on production experience.
• Strong understanding of SRE concepts (SLO/SLI, observability, toil reduction).
• Proven enablement, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills (GitBook, Markdown).
• Proficiency with Jira, Asana, Git and data analysis using Python/Excel.
• Experience with AI-driven automation to reduce repetitive tasks.

Job description

The “Tech Lead - DST” drives end-to-end support operations, reliability engineering, and partner capacity building for large-scale digital health systems on the DIGIT platform. This role bridges traditional IT support and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) by applying software engineering practices to system operations—ensuring high availability, resilience, automated observability, and scalable infrastructure. Additionally, you will act as the enablement lead, empowering external partners and internal teams through structured knowledge transfer, training, and operational playbooks.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & Platform Stability

• Establish and enforce SRE practices, including monitoring Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets to balance feature velocity with platform stability.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and blameless post-mortems for production environments.
• Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and self-healing infrastructure using modern observability tools.
• Collaborate with core engineering to address platform technical debt, improve system resiliency, and optimize performance under peak loads.

Support Operations & Governance

• Lead and manage multi-tiered support structures (L1–L4), ensuring adherence to SLAs and rapid issue resolution.
• Drive incident escalation processes and serve as the technical lead for critical production issues.
• Leverage Python, AI tools, and process automation to eliminate toil and streamline support workflows.

Partner Enablement & Capacity Building

• Design and deliver structured enablement programs, playbooks, and GitBook documentation to build local capacity among implementation partners and government stakeholders.
• Conduct technical workshops and onboarding sessions covering system architecture, troubleshooting, and platform monitoring.
• Monitor partner operational readiness and provide ongoing coaching to ensure sustainable self-sufficiency.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as the central interface between external implementation partners and core engineering teams.
• Generate actionable operational retrospectives, capacity insights, and executive reports to drive continuous platform improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience with enterprise SaaS or digital public infrastructure platforms, with 2+ years in technical customer/partner delivery.
• 3+ years in application support, devops, or SRE, with hands‑on experience managing production environments.
• Strong understanding of SRE concepts (SLO/SLI, observability, toil reduction, automated recovery).
• Proven track record in technical enablement, workshop facilitation, and authoring technical documentation (GitBook, Markdown).
• Proficiency with issue‑tracking tools (Jira, Asana), version control (Git), and data analysis using Python/Excel.
• Direct experience implementing AI‑driven automation or scripting to reduce repetitive support tasks.
