Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary software development teams.
• Provide technical direction across the software development lifecycle.
• Define development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and security while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design scalable, secure, high-performance enterprise applications.
• Define application architecture, integration patterns, and technology stacks.
• Lead technical solution design for Digital Twin, AI, GIS, IoT, and enterprise platforms.
• Ensure solutions meet business, security, and performance requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies.

Software Development

• Develop and oversee frontend, backend, and microservices-based applications.
• Guide RESTful API, event-driven, and cloud-native implementations.
• Ensure reusable, modular, and maintainable code.
• Resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.

System Integration

Lead integration with Digital Twin platforms, IoT devices and sensors, GIS platforms (Esri/OpenLayers), AI/ML services, ERP, SCADA, Identity & Access Management (SSO/OAuth), data lakes and analytics platforms, third-party APIs, and enterprise systems.

DevOps & Cloud

• Support CI/CD and release management.
• Guide deployments across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Implement containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor application performance, security, and availability.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps practices.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Architects, and Product Owners.
• Participate in effort estimation, sprint planning, and technical roadmaps.
• Present technical solutions to customers and executive stakeholders.
• Manage technical risks and support timely project delivery.

Quality Assurance

• Establish coding standards and review processes.
• Ensure automated and performance testing and secure coding practices.
• Drive continuous integration, continuous delivery, and technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational quality processes.

Documentation

Prepare and maintain Solution Architecture Documents, Technical Design Specifications, API Documentation, Database Design Documents, Integration Specifications, Deployment Guides, Security Design Documents, Technical Standards, and Release Notes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Microsoft, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, TOGAF, Kubernetes, or relevant technical certifications are desirable.

Experience

• 8–12 years of software development experience.
• 3–5 years minimum in a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer role.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Experience in Government, Smart City, Seaport, Healthcare, Industrial Automation, or Digital Transformation projects is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

Frontend: React.js, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript.

Backend: ASP.NET Core/.NET, Java Spring Boot, Node.js (Express/NestJS), REST APIs, Microservices.

Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.

Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git.
