Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs and microservices using Core Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement solutions within the Amdocs DigitalONE Fulfilment domain, including SOM, AUA, USM and OND.
• Analyse business drivers and requirements to define backend, integration and API specs.
• Translate requirements into scalable designs and reusable backend components.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to plan implementation.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments and cloud-native delivery.
• Ensure solutions meet objectives with security, performance, reliability and monitoring.
• Work with local and central tech teams to define deployment models for delivery and operations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with QA, DevOps and operations teams.

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and Amdocs DigitalONE Fulfilment solutions to support the design, development and delivery of scalable telecom applications. This role combines hands-on backend development, solution design and business analysis capabilities, requiring close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering DigitalONE Fulfilment solutions, designing integrations with BSS/OSS systems, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions and ensuring high standards of performance, reliability and maintainability.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs and microservices using Core Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement solutions within the Amdocs DigitalONE Fulfilment domain, including:
  • Service Order Manager (SOM)
  • Amdocs Universal Activator (AUA)
  • Universal Service Manager (USM)
  • Open Network Designer (OND) Service Catalogue
• Analyse business drivers, functional requirements and telecom process needs to define backend service, integration and API requirements aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and reusable backend components.
• Act as a backend technology representative for DigitalONE / Amdocs solution delivery across business and IT stakeholder groups.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Business Engagement Managers to understand solution requirements and translate them into implementation plans.
• Design and support integrations between DigitalONE Fulfilment components and telecom BSS/OSS platforms.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments and cloud-native delivery approaches using Docker, Kubernetes, Git and Maven/Gradle.
• Ensure backend solutions meet business objectives while adhering to engineering best practices for security, performance, reliability, monitoring and maintainability.
• Work collaboratively with local and central technology teams to establish appropriate application, infrastructure and deployment models to support delivery and operations.
• Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies and work closely with QA, DevOps, Operations and business teams to support successful solution delivery.

Who you are

• 6 to 10 years of hands‑on backend development experience with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices architecture. Hands‑on development and solution design experience within the Amdocs DigitalONE Fulfilment domain. Proven experience working with: Service Order Manager (SOM) Amdocs Universal Activator (AUA) Universal Service Manager (USM) Open Network Designer (OND) Service Catalogue Strong understanding of integrations between DigitalONE Fulfilment platforms and other telecom BSS/OSS systems. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, Git, Maven/Gradle and cloud‑native deployment patterns. Experience working as a Backend Developer with Product Owner, Technical Analyst or Business Analyst responsibilities. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, influencing and decision‑making skills with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment. Good understanding of SQL, databases, API security, authentication, authorisation, logging, monitoring and performance tuning. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with cross‑functional teams. Exposure to telecom business processes and DigitalONE development, including Order Capture and Order Handling solutions. Professional experience in technical analysis, solution design and telecom business processes.
