Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc is seeking an experienced Backend professional to design, develop and optimise Amdocs RevenueONE Billing and invoicing solutions. You will work on integrations with telecom BSS/OSS, and contribute to scalable backend design within a matrix team.

The role requires hands-on experience with RevenueONE, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD and SQL/PL-SQL expertise in a telecom environment. Collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Amdocs RevenueONE Billing and in-voicing domain solutions.
• Strong SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting expertise.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working as Backend Developer, Product Owner, Business Analyst or in a hybrid techno-functional capacity in telecom.
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical designs and scalable backend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support Amdocs RevenueONE Billing and in-voicing solutions to meet evolving business and operational requirements.
• Analyse business requirements, billing processes and functional specifications to create scalable technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Design and support integrations between Amdocs RevenueONE and telecom BSS/OSS platforms, ensuring reliable end-to-end billing and in-voicing processes.
• Develop and maintain backend components using SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting to support billing applications and system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis and optimise system performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Act as a technology representative for RevenueONE solution delivery, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders across a matrix environment.
• Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Business Engagement Managers to translate business requirements into reusable technical designs and backend solutions.
• Support cloud-native deployment approaches, CI/CD pipelines and containerised application delivery using Docker, Kubernetes, Git and Maven/Gradle.
• Ensure solutions adhere to engineering best practices for performance, security, monitoring, maintainability and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Operations and cross-functional delivery teams within Agile/Scrum environments to achieve successful business outcomes.

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Amdocs RevenueONE Billing & Invoicing professional with expertise in telecom billing platforms, backend solution development and business analysis. This role combines hands‑on technical delivery with solution design responsibilities, requiring close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts and technology stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and optimising RevenueONE billing and invoicing solutions while ensuring seamless integration with telecom BSS/OSS platforms and alignment with business objectives.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and support Amdocs RevenueONE Billing and in‑voicing solutions to meet evolving business and operational requirements.
• Analyse business requirements, billing processes and functional specifications to create scalable technical solutions and implementation plans.

Who you are

• Experience in software development using any programming language together with strong SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting expertise.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, influencing and decision‑making skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
• Experience working as a Backend Developer, Product Owner, Business Analyst or in a hybrid techno‑functional capacity.
• Proven ability to analyse business drivers and translate requirements into robust technical designs and scalable backend solutions.
• Strong understanding of databases, API security, authentication, authorisation, logging, monitoring and performance tuning.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with QA, DevOps, Operations and business stakeholders.
• Professional background in technical analysis, solution design and telecom business processes.
