Job summary

Bar Code India invites an experienced Delivery Team Lead to own end-to-end delivery lifecycle, bridging clients and internal engineering teams. You will translate needs into sprints, ensuring high-quality software on time and within budget, wearing multiple hats—PM, Scrum Master, and Client Account Manager.

Your role focuses on driving kickoff meetings, weekly status, UAT guidance, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to keep projects on track and profitable.

Qualifications

  • 4-7+ years in IT Project Management or Delivery.
  • 2+ years leading teams.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • CSM or PMP certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management and coordinate with clients.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and maintain healthy backlog with client involvement.
  • Manage client kick-offs, status reporting, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and alignment with budgets and targets.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and quality through effective communication.
  • Ensure governance and process adherence across the delivery lifecycle.

Role Overview

Delivery Team Lead to own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of ourprojects. You will be the primary bridge between our external clients and ourinternal engineering teams.

Your job is to translate customer needs into actionable sprints,ensuring that we ship high-quality software on time and within budget. You willwear multiple hats: part Project Manager, part Scrum Master, and part ClientAccount Manager. Your ultimate goal is to remove roadblocks for the team andprovide transparency and confidence to the client.

KeyResponsibilities
1. ProjectLifecycle Management
  • RequirementGathering & Analysis: Lead deep-dive sessions with clients tounderstand their business goals. Convert these discussions into detailedfunctional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Scheduling& Planning: Create realistic project roadmaps, milestones, and resource schedules. Identifycritical paths and dependencies early to prevent bottlenecks.
  • Revenue & Targets: Monitor project budgets andburn rates. Ensure billing milestones are met to achieve quarterly revenuetargets.
2. SprintExecution & Agility
  • ScrumMaster Role: Facilitate all agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, SprintReviews, and Retrospectives). Ensure the team is unblocked and focused on thesprint goal.
  • Backlog Grooming: Work with the productowner/client to keep the backlog healthy, prioritized, and ready fordevelopment.
3.Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Kick-offMeetings: Lead high-energy "Customer Kick-off" meetings to set expectations, scope, and communication protocols. Conduct "Internal Kick-offs" toalign the engineering team on the vision.
  • CommunicationHub: Serve as the single point of contact for project status. Provide weekly statusreports (RAG status—Red/Amber/Green) to stakeholders, highlighting risks andmitigation plans.
  • UAT Management: Guide the client through theUser Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase, managing feedback and ensuring timelysign-off for go-live.
  • ResourceAllocation: Optimize team utilization. Ensure the right skills are assigned to the righttasks and forecast hiring needs based on upcoming project pipelines.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify projectrisks (scope creep, resource unavailability, technical blockers) and implementcontingency plans.
RequiredQualifications
  • Experience: 4-7+ years in IT ProjectManagement or Delivery, with at least 2+ years leading teams.
  • Methodology: Strong practical knowledge ofAgile/Scrum methodologies (CSM or PMP certification is a strong plus).
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholdermanagement skills—capable of saying "no" to scope creep whilemaintaining a positive client relationship.
  • Tools: Proficiency in JIRA,Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools.
On-Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Goal: Ship features and projectsaccording to the committed schedule.
  • KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs):
  • ScheduleVariance: Projects completed within +/- 10% of the original timeline.
  • SprintCompletion Rate: Consistently achieving >90% of sprint commitments (Say/Do ratio).
  • Milestone Hit Rate: Percentage of billing/criticalmilestones delivered on the exact date promised.
CustomerSatisfaction & Quality
  • Goal: Ensure the client is happy withthe process and the product.
  • KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs):
  • UATSign-off Speed: Time taken from "Ready for UAT" to "Signed Off" (minimizingfeedback loops).
  • CSATScore: Achieve a minimum Customer Satisfaction score of 4/5 on post-delivery surveys.
  • Escalation Rate: Zero valid escalations tosenior management regarding lack of communication or missed deadlines.
  • Goal: Maximize team output and ensurethe company gets paid.
  • KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs):
  • UtilizationRate: Maintain team utilization between 80-90% (avoiding bench time and burnout).
  • ScopeManagement: Zero "unbilled" scope creep (all additional requests must bechange-ordered).
  • Billing Timeliness: All technical deliverablesrequired for invoicing are ready by the cutoff date.
ProcessAdherence
  • Goal: Maintain delivery disciplineand hygiene.
  • KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs):
  • ZohoSprints Hygiene: 100% of tickets have clear descriptions, estimates, and updated statuses beforesprint start.
  • Meeting Efficiency: Stand-ups and planning meetingsfinish within time boxes (e.g., stand-up < 15 mins).
