Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join the Platform Security team in Bengaluru. You will design, implement, and maintain Azure security controls, focusing on Defender for Cloud, IaC, and DevSecOps practices.

You will build secure-by-design patterns, automate security with ARM/Bicep/Terraform, integrate with Azure DevOps, monitor Defender alerts, and contribute to compliance with CIS/NIST/ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Cyber Security with Azure cloud experience.
• Expertise in Defender for Cloud configuration and incident response workflows.
• Hands-on with IaC (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) for secure deployments.
• Proficient scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with Azure Policy, NSGs, and governance at scale.
• Familiarity with CI/CD security in Azure DevOps and REST API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud security controls in Azure leveraging Defender for Cloud.
• Develop IaC templates to automate secure resource deployments.
• Integrate security into DevOps pipelines and automated compliance validation.
• Monitor, remediate, and report on Defender for Cloud findings and compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with SOC and platform teams to strengthen detection and response.

The Cloud Security Engineer will be a key member of the Platform Security – Security Engineering team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud security solutions within the Microsoft Azure environment. This role will focus on securing Azure resources, enforcing security best practices, and integrating DevSecOps methodologies into cloud engineering workflows. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the configuration, tuning, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Defender for Cloud, ensuring compliance, threat protection, and visibility across the enterprise cloud estate.

What you’ll do

Core Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and managecloud-native security controls in Microsoft Azure, with a focus on Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and security posture management.
• Develop and maintainInfrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) to automate deployment of secure cloud resources.
• Integrate security into DevOps workflows(DevSecOps) using Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, and automated compliance validation.
• Monitor and remediatesecurity recommendations, regulatory compliance gaps, and alerts generated by Defender for Cloud.
• Collaborate with SOCto enhance detection and response capabilities through Azure-native security tooling.
• Automate security operations tasksvia Logic Apps, Function Apps, and REST API integrations.
• Perform threat modelling and risk assessmentsfor new cloud workloads and architecture changes.
• Advise and guideapplication and platform teams on secure-by-design principles and cloud-native security patterns.
• Develop security reporting dashboardsleveraging Azure Monitor, Workbooks, and Power BI for visibility across the cloud estate.
• Support compliance initiativesby aligning cloud configurations to standards such as CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements.
• Onboarding of Security telemetry from Azure Cloud (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) into Microsoft Sentinel

What you’ll need

• 7+ years of experience in Cyber Security
• Microsoft Azure Certifications – AZ-500, AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-900
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Defender for Cloud configuration, Management, and incident response workflows
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Deployment, Development & Automation
• Proven experience in securing large-scale Azure Cloud environments in an enterprise context
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as ARM, Bicep and Terraform
• Strong proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Bash) for automation
• Experience with Azure Policy, Initiatives, Blueprints and governance at scale
• Working knowledge of Azure networking security (NSGs, ASGs, Firewalls, Private endpoints)
• Experience with Azure DevOps and secure CI/CD pipeline design
• Familiarity with REST API integrations for security tooling
• Strong understanding of identity and access management in Azure (Entra ID, PIM, Conditional Access)
• Experience with deploying and managing Microsoft Sentinel & Log Analytics
• Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps, & App Services
• Authoring of complex and quality reporting.
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Microsoft Azure Certifications – SC-200, SC-900
• Knowledge of security event analysis in Microsoft Sentinel and integration with Defender for Cloud
• Familiar with SIEM/SOAR concepts and automation workflows in Security Operations
• Familiar with Cribl Stream
