Job summary

Laxmi Organic Industries Ltd. in Mahad is seeking a Technical Associate - Manufacturing (Panel) to help ensure smooth production operations and safe process execution. You will monitor DCS and field activities, coordinate with the shift incharge, and drive timely responses to process alarms and deviations.

The role requires BE in Chemical Engineering with 6–10 years in DCS operation and 1–2 years in the field, plus strong safety awareness and collaboration with QC and safety teams at the site.

Qualifications

• BE in Chemical Engineering with chemistry background.
• 6–10 years in DCS operation; 1–2 years in field.
• Good knowledge of process safety and safety practices.
• Ability to read SOPs, monitor processes and CAPA.
• Awareness of hazardous materials handling (chlorine, AHF).

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and operate the DCS and field.
• Ensure effluents are sent to ETP and monitor process parameters.
• Maintain safety norms to achieve zero accidents and breakdowns.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Support process safety and Responsible Care initiatives.
• Report near misses, incidents or non-compliance.
• Coordinate with field technicians to avoid delays.
• Inform shift incharge on abnormalities; coordinate with QC.
• Act on DCS alarms; maintain communication between Field Officer and Shift Incharge.
• Conduct safety talks for contract labours and attend safety meetings.

Job description

Technical Associate - Manufacturing (Panel).

Office Location: Mahad

Position description: To ensure the smooth running of the production process.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow all the instructions as per the Standard operating procedure
• Ensuring that all the effluents are sent to ETP ( Effluent Treatment Plant)
• Monitoring and controlling all the process parameters safely
• Operate the DCS and field
• Ensure to follow safety norms to achieve zero accidents and zero breakdown
• To participate in Root Cause Analysis of Various safety and process safety incidents, Monitor and ensure implementation of CAPA ( Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions)
• To Support Various Process safety and Responsible Care Initiatives
• Report any near miss / incident or any non-compliance
• Responsible to complete any other assignment given by the seniors
• Close Co-ordination with the field technician to carry out process without any delay.
• Inform to shift incharge if any abnormality found in process.
• Coordination with QC department for timely analysis, control measures need to be taken based on analysis.
• Action need to be taken if DCS indicates any alarm.
• Knowledge of critical reactions , handled hazardous gases like chlorine,AHF
• Maintaining the communication between the Field Officer and the Shift Incharge
• Conduct the safety talk for the Contract labours and the helpers
• Conducting and Attending all the safety meetings and training programs.

Educational qualifications preferred

• Field specialization: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry
• Degree: BE

Required work experience

• Industry: Essential: 6 TO 10 yrs. in DCS operation, 1-2 years in field
