Job summary

Silicon Logic UK Ltd. Pune seeks an experienced SAP ABAP Architect with 10+ years in ABAP development and architecture to define technical specifications and lead high‑impact SAP projects.

You will drive S/4HANA migrations, CDS views, and integration using SAP Integration Suite, mentor developers, and ensure SDLC compliance while partnering with functional teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in SAP ABAP development and architecture.
• Strong experience with OOP, ALV, BAPI, BADI, ALE, IDOCs.
• S/4HANA migrations (brownfield/greenfield) and CDS views.
• Expertise in SAP integration tools and SDLC methodologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud basics.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Define technical specifications and high-level designs for SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Establish overall technical architecture for projects and advise on optimal use of SAP technologies.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by collaborating with functional teams, stakeholders, and project managers.
• Lead development teams, provide technical direction, and mentor junior developers.
• Oversee integration of SAP modules and external applications for seamless data flow and functionality.
• Conduct system performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Support testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) and provide ongoing technical support.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation and technical specifications, adhering to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with functional analysts, developers, and project managers.
• Evaluate technical risks, identify gaps, and propose innovative solutions.
• Develop and manage data migration plans; provide technical direction for data management frameworks.
• Ensure SAP environment security, compliance, and governance.
• Provide effort estimates, identify skill requirements, and manage deliverables to ensure timely, on-budget project completion.
• Offer strategic guidance on SAP growth, cloud adoption, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years in SAP ABAP development and architecture.
• Core Skills: OOP, ALV, BAPI, BADI, ALE, IDOCs.
• S4HANA Expertise: Migrations (brownfield/greenfield), CDS views, ABAP remediation (7.4+).
• Integration Technologies: CPI, PIPO, SAP Integration Suite.
• Methodologies: Strong SDLC knowledge; Agile/Scrum experience.
• DevOps & Cloud: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, data modeling.
• Technical Strengths: Debugging, performance tuning, system optimization.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific processes (e.g., finance, insurance) for relevant analytics solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional ServiceNow or SAP certifications.
• Experience managing resource scheduling across multi-engagement portfolios.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with project/resource management tools (e.g., SAP PPM/SPM).
