Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead to steer the design and implementation of SAP solutions across core business processes. You will mentor teams and drive end-to-end delivery, including integration, testing, deployment, and production support, while ensuring performance and security standards.

The role requires hands-on ABAP/S4HANA expertise, strong communication with stakeholders, and a track record of delivering complex SAP transformations in Agile or hybrid

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of SAP solutions across business processes and enterprise applications.
• Translate functional and business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions.
• Lead SAP technical teams across development, integration, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design and develop solutions using SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, Fiori/UI5, CDS Views, OData, RAP, and BTP.
• Define integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite/CPI, APIs, IDocs, RFC, BAPIs, web services, and middleware.
• Drive S/4HANA technical architecture, Clean Core, extensibility, and modernization initiatives.
• Review technical designs, code, development standards, performance, and security.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development and architecture best practices.
• Manage technical delivery including estimation, planning, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation.
• Lead data migration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, project managers, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Support SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, system migrations, cloud adoption, and transformation programs.
• Establish and maintain technical documentation, standards, governance, and reusable development frameworks.
• Mentor developers and technical consultants and provide technical guidance to the wider SAP team.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of SAP technical experience, with demonstrated experience leading technical teams or complex SAP implementations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP and S/4HANA development.
• Experience with ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, OData, SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies, including APIs, IDocs, RFC, BAPIs, web services, and SAP Integration Suite/CPI.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, CAP, Clean Core, and SAP extensibility is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering end-to-end SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, or transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, debugging, ATC, code quality, security, and SAP development standards.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and transport/release management is advantageous.
• Ability to produce technical specifications, architecture/design documents, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery environments.
• SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, BTP, or relevant SAP technologies are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MCA, or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
