Job summary

dSPACE in Trivandrum is seeking an Architect to lead the development of plant models for BMS, VCU, MCU, and related vehicle dynamics. The role focuses on strategy, requirements, and interfaces for plant models aligned with system-level validation and HIL/SIL workflows.

You will guide feature coverage, ensure alignment with product vision, and collaborate with management to drive lean, customer-ready solutions using MATLAB/Simulink and relevant tools. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 18 years of relevant experience.
• Eager to learn and open-minded.
• Strong experience in system architecture and subsystems such as VCU, MCU, BMS, motor, inverter, battery, vehicle dynamics, instrument cluster and telematics, plus system interfaces and their impact on validation.
• Deep expertise in motor and inverter control methods, telematics systems and GNSS technologies.
• Familiar with SIL and HIL setups, validation requirements and workflows.
• Familiar with MATLAB and Simulink, vehicle modeling and simulation tools.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

For our office in Trivandrum, dSPACE is looking for creative and motivated professionals. You will work on exciting and technologically cutting-edge product development projects, in the areas of control prototyping, code generation and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation.

We are offering a position as an Architect for the development of validation solutions in the vehicle domain. The role focuses on defining the strategy and requirements for plant models related to Battery Management Systems (BMS), Vehicle Control Units (VCU), Motor Control Units (MCU), Vehicle Dynamics, Instrument Cluster and Telematics. As part of the development team, you will be responsible for architecting plant model strategies, identifying gaps in existing models, and ensuring their alignment with system‑level requirements. You will leverage your system architecture knowledge to clarify missing features, guide enhancements, and define interfaces for both component-level and full system SIL and HIL setups. In doing so, you can expect a variety of exciting, challenging, and diverse tasks that you will solve together as a team.

• You have deep expertise in motor and inverter control methods, telematics systems and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies
• You are familiar with SIL and HIL setups, validation requirements and workflows
• You are familiar with MATLAB and Simulink, vehicle modeling and simulation tools
• You have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
