Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an IT Project Manager in Hyderabad to oversee end-to-end clinical and non-clinical initiatives. You will define scope, build detailed plans and coordinate cross‑functional teams across clinical, administrative and IT functions.

The role requires 3+ years of IT project management, familiarity with MS Project/ServiceNow, and strong communication and customer service skills to work with onshore clients and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in healthcare
• Experience with project management tools (MS Project, ServiceNow)
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure/SDLC
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
• Experience working with onshore clients and strong customer service orientation
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Primary Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end projects (clinical and non-clinical) running for the client's initiatives
• Defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational goals
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
• Identify risks and create mitigation strategies
• Collaborating with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to gather requirements
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance
• Facilitate meetings and ensure transparency in progress tracking
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks. Evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re‑assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in healthcare
• Good experience of any of the project management tool e.g. MS Project, ServiceNow
• Basic understanding of the IT infrastructure/SDLC
• Proven solid team‑oriented skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams
• Proven solid communication skills Must have prior experience working with onshore clients
• Proven oriented to customer service and teamwork
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent certification
• Agile experience
• Familiarity with HIPAA or other compliance standards
