Job summary

Takeda’s Innovation Capability Center in Bengaluru is seeking a proactive Reporting Operations Analyst to support the operational integrity and enhancement of ~20 dashboards built on Power BI and Qlik. You will perform structured data investigations per SOPs, ensure data consistency, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Data Operations to improve dashboard performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in BI operations, data support, or analytics roles.
• Solid working knowledge of Power BI DAX, Visualization, and Row-Level Security; QlikView/Qlik Sense a plus.
• SQL for data querying and validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data investigations.
• Familiarity with SOP-driven operational processes and root cause analysis.
• Basic understanding of data modeling concepts and dashboard performance tuning.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); able to work independently with discipline.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Reporting Operations Analyst to support the operational integrity and enhancement of ~20 dashboards built on Power BI and Qlik platforms. This role will focus on conducting structured data investigations based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring data consistency, and implementing operational improvements to optimize dashboard performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Regular dashboard Ops – data refreshes
• Monitor and manage scheduled data refreshes across Power BI and Qlik dashboards as per set SOPs.
• Perform daily/weekly data validations to ensure dashboard accuracy and data integrity as per set SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and escalation any data refresh failures, latency issues, or data mismatches.
• Coordinate with Data Operations teams to address root causes of data inconsistencies.
• Maintain and update refresh logs, validation checklists, and issue trackers.
• Support minor enhancements, version updates, or changes in dashboard configuration as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal data governance and security protocols.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding dashboard health and incident resolutions.
• Answer Business user queries
• Perform structured data investigations in response to data quality issues, anomalies, or stakeholder queries using defined SOPs.
• Analyze discrepancies between source systems and dashboard outputs; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to resolve data pipeline or logic issues.
• Support and drive operational enhancements in dashboard performance, data refresh cycles, and overall reliability.
• Assist in updating and refining SOPs to reflect changing operational practices and lessons learned.
• Monitor key dashboard metrics and proactively flag any abnormalities or risks.
• Maintain documentation of recurring issues, resolutions, and knowledge base updates.
• Ensure dashboards align with business rules, data governance policies, and SLA expectations.
• Participate in periodic dashboard audits and optimization reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ~1-3 years of experience in BI operations, data support, or analytics roles.
• Solid working knowledge of Power BI DAX Query, Visualization, Row-Level Security (major) along-side QlikView/Qlik Sense (good to have).
• Working experience with Intermediate-Advanced SQL for data querying and validation (important).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data investigations.
• Familiarity with SOP-driven operational processes and root cause analysis.
• Basic understanding of data modeling concepts and dashboard performance tuning.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to work independently and manage routine reporting tasks with discipline.

Preferred Qualifications/skills:

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Databricks)
• Experience using ticketing/issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
• Prior experience in improving operational workflows or automation of routine checks.
• BE/ B-Tech– Computer Engineering / MCA
