Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Industrial Automation Digital Organization. You will design, develop, and deliver scalable cloud-native applications using React/Angular on the frontend and C#/.NET on the backend.

The role requires expertise in databases, Kubernetes, and Azure, with a focus on code quality, CI/CD, and mentorship. You will work in a hybrid setup with cross-functional teams, shaping architectures, standards, and best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development with strong frontend in React and/or Angular.
• Backend development experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core, API development and architecture knowledge.
• Experience with relational/time-series databases, data integration and validation.
• Exposure to cloud-native development with Azure, Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD, and Agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using frontend React/Angular and backend C#/.NET.
• Build robust workflows with APIs, databases, microservices, and cloud-native tech ensuring performance and maintainability.
• Drive software quality via unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD processes; participate in architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX teams and engineers; mentor junior engineers and drive technical innovation.

You will contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, software quality, and continuous improvement while supporting and mentoring other engineers.The work model for the role is: HybridYou will be mainly accountable for:Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, leading frontend development using React and/or Angular and backend services using C# and .NET/.NET Core.Build and maintain robust application workflows involving APIs, relational and time-series databases, microservices, and cloud-native technologies, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.Drive software quality through unit testing, code reviews, technical discussions, and adherence to engineering standards, while contributing to CI/CD processes and efficient software delivery.Collaborate with product owners, UX teams, architects, and other engineering stakeholders, while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and contributing to continuous improvement and technical innovation.Qualifications for the role:6+ years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in frontend development using React and/or Angular, along with experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade applications.Proven experience in backend development using C# and .NET/.NET Core, with strong knowledge of API development, application architecture, and software engineering fundamentals.Strong experience working with relational and/or time-series databases, including database design, development, integration, and validation.Professional experience with modern software development practices and technologies such as Kubernetes, microservices architecture, unit testing, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, with an understanding of cloud-native application development and deployment.Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and work effectively with cross-functional and global stakeholders.BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or a related field, with exposure to Industrial Automation, IIoT, Energy, Manufacturing, or similar industrial domains preferred.
