Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a Tech Lead for Java backend development to drive design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise-grade applications.

The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, own architecture decisions, mentor peers, and collaborate with product, DevOps, QA, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring performance, security, and reliability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Data Engineering or equivalent with related experience.
• 8–10 years of software development experience with Java.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale Java applications.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing microservices.
• Define technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, QA, and Business Stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Drive API strategy, integration design, and system interoperability.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps adoption.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release management activities.
• Drive technical debt reduction and platform modernization initiatives.

• Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for a Tech Lead for Java Back-end development.
• Associate with highly experience in Java Back-End to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise-grade applications.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud Technologies, and modern software engineering practices while leading a team of developers through the complete software development lifecycle.

QUALIFICATION

• Requires a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology/Data Engineering or similar combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background and minimum of 8 -10 years software development experience with Java.

EXPERIENCE

• 8 -10 years software development experience with Java.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, and Microservices.
• Experience with REST APIs and event‑driven architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
