Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Technical Lead for Central Inverter Development in Bengaluru, India. You will own system architecture for high-power central inverters (250 kW to multi-MW) and drive cross-functional execution from design to industrialization.

The role demands 12–15 years in power electronics, strong expertise in NPC/ANPC/T-type topologies, SiC/IGBT based power stages, grid-code compliance, and leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in high-power central/ string inverters or converters (≥100 kW)
• Topologies: NPC / ANPC / T-type / Modular Multilevel
• Simulation tools: PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink
• Magnetics and filter design fundamentals
• Thermal design basics and CFD understanding
• Grid-forming/inverter concepts and grid code knowledge
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and design reviews

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for central inverter systems
• Lead design of power-stage, DC-AC inverter, LC filters and EMI/EMC compliance
• Define control algorithms, grid synchronization, and protection schemes
• Ensure IEC/IEEE compliance and lead certification efforts
• Coordinate thermal and mechanical integration with cross-functional teams
• Drive reliability, FMEA/DFMEA, HALT/HASS testing and safety alignment
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews
• Collaborate with vendors for magnetics, semiconductors, and capacitors
