Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Bengaluru seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to lead design, validation, and industrialization of power electronics for solar, BESS/PCS, EV chargers, electrolyzers, and related systems.

You will own BOM, schematics, component selection, power stage design, and work with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or MTech in Power Electronics
• Engineers: 2-8 years; Senior Eng: 8-12; Leads: 8-15 years
• Experience in product development in Solar, Wind, EV Charger, LV/MV Drives, UPS and related power conversion products
• Hand-on testing of Power Converters

Responsibilities

• Electrical design and engineering of power conversion products; Define system-level electrical architecture
• Prepare BOM and Electrical Schematics; Component selection
• Own power stage design (rectifiers, inverters, DC-DC stages) and protection/grounding strategies
• Drive compliance with IEC/UL/IS standards; EMI/EMC mitigation and certification support
• Define and execute electrical validation plans (DVT, HALT, HASS) and reliability improvements
• Support manufacturing ramp-up, BOM optimization, and cost reduction
• Collaborate cross-functionally with control/software, mechanical/thermal, validation, and supply chain teams

Electrical Design EngineerRoleOwn and deliver electrical design, validation, and industrialization of power electronics products and systems, ensuring performance, safety, compliance, manufacturability, and lifecycle reliability across Solar, BESS/PCS, EV Chargers, Electrolysers, and Industrial Power Systems, Microgrid and Data centre productsKey Responsibilities

• Electrical Design and Engineering of Power Conversion products for solar, PCS, EC Charger and industrial power conversion products.Define system-level electrical architecture.Prepare BOM and Electrical Engineering Schematics, Component selectionOwn power stage design (rectifiers, inverters, DC-DC stages).Define protection, grounding, and insulation strategies.Select and qualify semiconductors, magnetics, and passives.Support Prototype development
