Job summary

Frencken in India, Delhi, is seeking an experienced Team Leader CNC Milling to guide a skilled milling team and drive daily production with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.

You will lead planning, troubleshoot technical issues, optimize processes, and mentor CNC millers while ensuring compliance with drawings, tolerances and quality standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on CNC milling experience.
• Experience in supervisory or team-leader roles, or ambition to step up.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling processes.
• Ability to read drawings with GD&T and tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures and measurement techniques.
• Experience with high-precision components in a high-tech environment.
• Understanding quality requirements and dimensional inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support others with technical problems.
• Structured, quality-oriented working style.
• Good command of English; Dutch mandatory.
• Experience with 5-axis milling, CAD/CAM, Heidenhain/Fanuc/Siemens would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the CNC milling team during daily production activities.
• Plan and distribute work within the team based on production priorities, capacity and deadlines.
• Monitor daily production progress and take action when quality, planning or output deviates from expectations.
• Provide technical support to CNC millers when machining or production issues arise.
• Ensure components are manufactured according to technical drawings, specifications, tolerances and quality requirements.
• Support the setup and optimization of CNC milling machines, machining processes and production methods.
• Ensure correct use of tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment and machining parameters.
• Work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Planning to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Identify bottlenecks and initiate improvements related to productivity, quality, lead time and efficiency.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions when production or quality issues occur.
• Ensure that employees follow safety procedures, work instructions and quality standards.
• Coach team members, provide feedback and contribute to their technical and professional development.
• Support the onboarding and training of new CNC employees.
• Encourage ownership, teamwork and continuous improvement within the department.
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate priorities, issues and results to relevant stakeholders.

What do you bring?

You Have

• Several years of hands‑on experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Frezer, CNC Machinist or similar machining professional.
• Experience in a coordinating, senior, supervisory or Team Leader position, or the ambition and capability to take this next step.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling and machining processes.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, GD&T and tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, machining strategies and measurement techniques.
• Experience working with high‑precision components, preferably within a high‑tech manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of quality requirements and dimensional inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support others with technical problems.
• A structured and quality‑oriented way of working.
• Strong communication and people‑management skills.
• The ability to set priorities and remain organized in a dynamic production environment.
• A continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Good command of English. Dutch mandatory
• Experience with 5‑axis CNC milling, CAD/CAM programming, Heidenhain/Fanuc/Siemens controls, Lean Manufacturing or continuous‑improvement methodologies would be considered an advantage, depending on the machines and systems used within the department.
