Birla Estates in Mumbai seeks a legal operations professional to support regional land acquisitions, due diligence, contract drafting, and compliance across the region. You will collaborate with the BD and liaison teams to identify legal risks and mitigate them, while assisting the corporate legal team on regional nuances.

The role involves hands-on drafting, due diligence, and providing clear interpretations of clauses to support business development and regulatory filings.

Responsabilités

• Work with BD and liaison teams to complete legal due diligence of land on time.
• Draft and vet region-specific agreements during Business Development processes.
• Support corporate litigation by preparing responses for regional cases.
• Handle customer queries on legal issues and create basic FAQs for the CRM team.
• Draft and vet regional legal contracts and interpret/clarify clauses as required.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure RERA filings on time and quarterly compliances.
• Track legal compliances and flag non-compliances in the region.
• Participate in legal conferences, monitor changes in laws, and implement development plans for self-capability building.

Job Purpose : Support the Manager for managing legal operations in the HO / region and provide support to corporate legal team by providing inputs on regional nuances for land acquisitions, litigation, documentation and legal support to mitigate potential legal risks

Principal Accountabilities :

• To work with the BD team & the liaison team to complete the legal due diligence of land on time and ensure legal risks are properly evaluated & mitigated.
• Drafting of agreements and vetting required during Business Development Process for the region to complete the agreement on time
• Support the corporate litigation person in preparation of responses & matters to be presented in hearings of the Regional Litigation cases to ensure satisfactory progress on the case.
• Handling customer queries on legal issues for Closure of customer and creating the basic set of FAQs for the CRM team to handle routine legal queries
• Draft and vet legal contracts/ Documents that are being used in the region and provide interpretation / clarification on clauses as and when required.
• To work with all department teams to ensure RERA is filed on time and quarterly compliances are done
• To keep a track of all legal compliances and red-flag non-compliances on a periodic basis in the region
• Participate in legal conferences, keep a track of changes in laws and regulations on a periodic basis and implement the agreed development plans for self-capability building
