Job summary

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories seeks a Mechanical Engineer to manage potable water systems, keep equipment validated, and drive energy savings at the Telangana site. You will update drawings, SOPs and records to support cGMP and audit readiness.

Qualifications include a B.Tech in Mechanical, hands-on maintenance skills, and ability to train the team in strict documentation and safety standards across multiple plants.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical engineering with relevant plant experience.
• Experience with water systems, validation, and cGMP.
• Ability to update SOPs and drawings in a controlled manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain potable and purified water systems as per site targets.
• Ensure (re)qualification / (re)validation of equipment per schedule.
• Drive energy conservation measures and cost control.
• Train the team and ensure Good Documentation Practices.
• Support site audits and ensure readiness for inspections.

Job Description

• Ensure that availability of potable and purified water at any time to users and time bound maintenance of water systems along with relevant record as per site objectives.
• Ensure that the equipment and related systems (both old and new) are (re)qualified / (re)validated as per schedule.
• Reduce utilities consumption in line with the site objectives. To identify and implement energy conservation measures.
• To ensure that all the drawings and technical specifications of the equipment and system in his/her area is updated.
• To ensure that potable and purified water systems perform as per site objectives and relevant documentation and records are maintained.
• Investigating calibration failures and failure between preventive maintenance and taking the corrective action.
• To initiate the modifications and new projects within the plant as per site objective.
• To ensure that SOP’s are updated as per schedule.
• To ensure that the new SOP’s, CCF’s, incident reports, qualification protocols and reports are made, implemented on time as per ESD objectives
• To ensure cGMP implementation in his area as per the QMS.
• Trouble shooting with an objective of finding permanent solution.
• To ensure facility the facility is ready for any time audit.
• Ensure the good upkeep of the department.
• To meet SHE targets for his area.
• Ensure adherence of work permit systems while carrying work.
• Ensure Good Documentation Practices implementation in water system.
• Responsible to impart trainings to the team.
• Responsible to Perform Preventive maintenance.
