Job summary

Cipla in India is seeking a Civil Maintenance Engineer to ensure site civil maintenance execution for the Formulation division. You will oversee activities for plant structures, doors, windows, terraces, drains, and roads, while adhering to EHS & GMP standards.

The role requires 5-8 years of pharma experience in civil projects, with responsibilities including inventory management, coordinating with site engineering heads, and executing maintenance/modification plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Civil Engineering from reputed university.
• 5-8 years of Pharma experience in handling Civil project and Maintenance.
• Knowledge of cGMP and Good Engineering Practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute civil maintenance activities for the Plant & Building to ensure structural integrity.
• Maintain inventory of materials, spares, and consumables; issue to contractors and record in SAP.
• Inspect plant structures and buildings for conformance to design specs and safety standards; implement corrective actions.

Job Purpose

Ensure Civil Maintenance Execution at Site

Key Accountabilities (1/6)

Facility Improvement (Civil)

• Ensure up-to-date knowledge & skills for function skills. Maintain a valid Functional Proficiency Certificate


• Execute the civil maintenance activities for the Plant & Building and Plant Structures to ensure overall structural integrity including doors & windows; terraces, bunds, drains and roads; whilst following and ensuring EHS & GMP Standards. Schedule and execute the maintenance / modification activities in respective area. Prepare and maintain engineering documents wrt cGMP and Good Engineering Practices and update related documentation.


• Cater to plant structures and building maintenance requirements of the SIte. Manage materials and spare; issue consumables, spares, materials, logbooks etc. in order to avoid delays due to unavailability of materials. Issue required materials (spares and consumables) to the contractors from stores and make SAP entries for the receipts and issuance. Maintain inventory of critical spares & consumables by tracking consumption and monitoring stocks


• Inspect Plant Structures & Buildings at the sites for conformance to design specifications and safety, cGMP or sanitation standards. Where required take corrective actions to ensure conformance with design specifications and safety, cGMP or sanitation standards.


• Follow EHS safety standards to maintain high level of Safety during maintenance; Report any incidents / deviations. Attend safety meetings and ensure implementation of actions planned during departmental safety meeting at shop floor.


• Attend planned trainings and incorporate the learnings on the floor for improving machine performance. Implement and close ideas generated through internal audits / Idea generation sessions.
