Job summary

Alfa Laval India in Satara invites an experienced Team Manager Engineering to lead and coordinate the mechanical design team, ensuring delivery of high‑quality heat exchanger projects on time and within budget. You will oversee design, estimation, documentation compliance with ASME/PED standards, and proactive coordination with customers and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in design and estimation of heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, columns or reactors.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, PD550, EN13445, EN, API).
• Proficient in PV-Elite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Engineers and Draftsmen.
• Oversee the design and detailed engineering of Spiral and Compabloc Heat Exchangers.
• Participate in the estimation process for Spiral and Compabloc Heat Exchangers.
• Review and maintain documentation in accordance with ASME and PED quality manuals.
• Coordinate effectively with internal and external customers and consultants.
• Provide technical support to the Bid Engineering and Sales teams.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects.
• Collaborate with Third Party Inspection (TPI) agencies.
• Identify team training needs and recommend development programs.

Alfa Laval Indiais looking for a Team Manager Engineering for its Satara location. The overall purpose of this role Develop and coordinate the unit. Secure that the unit meets short to midterm goals and customer expectations. Actively work with operational interfaces, communicate, and coordinate.

About the Job:

• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, PD550, EN13445, EN, API).

• Proficient in engineering software such as PV-Elite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.

• Familiarity with ASME/ASTM materials and material selection.

• Experience with nozzle loading analysis as per WRC-107 and WRC-297.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Work Location: The person would be based in Satara Factory.
