Job summary

Gallagher in India is seeking an experienced software engineering lead to design, develop, and deploy complex systems across local networks and cloud environments. You will code, test, and document requirements, guiding projects from concept to production with a focus on quality and scalability.

You will manage a skilled team, coordinate with architects, product managers, and end users, and ensure compliance with policies while driving innovation and high performance.

Qualifications

• University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document software requirements across projects.
• Lead a team of software professionals, including offshore resources.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

Specializes in planning, designing, and developing software systems (e.g., middleware, legacy, mainframe) and applications from concept phase to production used in local, networked, cloud-based or internet-related computer programs. Developers design, code, test, debug, and document program requirements, working with architects, product managers, and end users in the development and enhancement of applications. Plans, designs, and develops software systems from concept phase to production in local networks or cloud-based related computer programs.

• Codes in relevant languages.
• Manages a team of professionals, more senior level support staff, larger group of offshore/contract resources or some combination of these groups.
• May have supervisors reporting to them.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
• Handling problems that are sometimes difficult and moderately complex.
• Ensuring compliance policies and procedures are understood and followed.

Qualifications
